No they actually can't - the source of the funding is specific in what it can be used for and that DOES NOT include Athletic facilities.

I have to ask......why are we even FBS if the stadium sucks and there are no plans to even improve it after 15 fuckin' years? It's become so apparent after the big Apple guy donation of $50 million and not a dime for football and now $800 million and same thing. Even worse someone deleted my Bamford rant topic post. There's 25 of us constantly posting on this board and no one with any pull can improve the excuse for a football stadium.

Yes. Bamford and Reyes have said they are interested in building multi purpose buildings like a dining commons that doubles as club seats for football games, etc. also this money might be able to be used directly on McGuirk, but other money that was earmarked for these other deferred maintenance projects can be shifted.

I get it: UMass athletics under Bamford has become Alice in Wonderland. A deck of cards come to life (with the exception of Hockey) where up is down; losing is winning; etc. Football players make a great play like an interception and naturally celebrate, so the head coach HAS TO throw them off the field and straight to the locker room
