Frank tweeted out the eyes emoji last night (as well as an awesome Batman picture), we probably have some news coming soon. I’m assuming it is portal related, so that’s why I’m putting this here.

With UMass Gives and the season ticket renewal deadline upon us, it would've been cool if they announced a new commit or two to stoke some interest. The eyes emoji followed by multiple days of silence doesn't exactly get me excited.

Don't think it's portal related. Pretty sure he tweeted the eye emoji to signal UMass Gives and the season ticket renewal deadline.

Does it surprise me that a computer and social media illiterate dinosaur made a vague context-free tweet to try to rile up a snoozing fanbase with nothing to show for it at this point? Uh, no, not really.

You lose, you snooze. No sense of urgency. Frank knows he is Teflon at the moment. On a side note: would you want your kid to play for Frank? He is a raving madman who struggles to get to .500, and develops nobody.

Our biggest issue for the upcoming season will be scoring, so what do we do.. sign 2 guys in the transfer portal who have issues scoring. Abdullah Ahmed failed to score in 14 out of his 20 games.

And a guy who could score, K'Jei Parker, 20.6 points per 40 minutes, he either chose or was encouraged to leave. He was among the 74.5% of our scoring that we lost this off-season.

Holding your opponent in the 60s isn't any good if you score in the 50s.

I have concerns about the roster next year, but my bigger concern is the coaching staff itself. I don't have a problem with bringing in Ahmed, he was good enough to earn 246 minutes of playing time on a pretty decent BYU team even when he couldn't start playing in games until late December. I'm more concerned that we now have 4 centers but lots of question marks at the wing and forward positions.

I have my doubts, but I'll always be hopeful and I'll wait until the season is underway to start skewering Frank.

Yup, this is bonkers roster construction. Feels like the 2024 disaster all over again. They need to strike gold on the next transfer addition for me to have some hope or a few of the freshmen need to come in and deliver immediately, which is a tough ask.
