2026-27 Season
Re: 2026-27 Season
Can't help but wonder how Lewis Walker would be on this team right now. Seemed like a good fit for a position of need

Re: 2026-27 Season
You have to be kidding me!
The most optimistic take I can think of on this is that Hailey can possible replace what Parker gave us, and that's a stretch. I don't see anybody on the roster or in the recruiting class that can come anywhere close to Banks, Leo and DHS. Frank has 2 spots to fill, and he needs to hit 2 home runs.
A bit early don't you think? Yes, CJ is our former kicker. I'll probably renew but not until I see who else Frank brings in. Right now, I think this team won't get to .500. We lost our top 4 scorers and 2 top rebounders. Who do we have to replace them?Hello,

I’m disappointed that the NCAA has decided to go to 76 teams. Was hoping that they would go to 200 teams so that Bamford could have a chance to fleece us even more by saying he got us to the tourney.

Not so fast, we ended the season at 202 in the NET rankings...missed it by that muchUMassFan99 wrote: Wed Apr 29, 2026 8:01 am I’m disappointed that the NCAA has decided to go to 76 teams. - what's the final roster?
- what's the price increase?
- how much has parking increased?
- what's the final schedule?

Maybe they'll expand the NIT to 152 teams? Surely, an NIT bid would be enough.Juice Stand wrote: Wed Apr 29, 2026 8:16 amNot so fast, we ended the season at 202 in the NET rankings...missed it by that muchUMassFan99 wrote: Wed Apr 29, 2026 8:01 am I’m disappointed that the NCAA has decided to go to 76 teams. Re: 2026-27 Season
^ I decided to renew and got last year's price. No idea what this year's price will be.
To answer Floyd's other 3 questions:
Roster - the last 2 spots are critical. A proven D1 center and a proven D1 shooter are my choices
Parking - as far as I know, parking is the same
Schedule - here is a link to Mike's page. Scroll down for schedule info. My only comment is that game 31 better be an improvement over UM-Boston

Re: 2026-27 Season
Is anyone here among the contingent that will re-up prior to May 1?
I'm curious about the level of fandom when you don't really know what you're buying yet, with open spots on the roster and open dates on the schedule.

To my surprise I got the same call this morning.
First I heard of May 1 being the renewal deadline.
It seems ridiculously early!

Yes, I re-upped. I've stopped giving donations, but I'll still go to games because a) I like being there even if the team isn't particularly good, and b) it's the middle of winter, what else am I supposed to do if I don't go?MikeUMA wrote: Wed Apr 29, 2026 5:22 pm Is anyone here among the contingent that will re-up prior to May 1?

Football, MBB and Hockey all have May 1st, which is kinda crazy. The MBB and Hockey renewal emails went out on 2/17 and 2/20 respectively, while their seasons were still going on. Football went out on 4/6, which I assume was due to the uncertainty about the Hawaii game, but that made the turnaround time for renewal less than 1 month.
