If you really want a laugh, go to the RedHawk fan forum (MiamiHawk -Love and Honor). They are all blaming the refs. UMass players, especially the Italian, were mauling and bullying the Miami players the whole game, and the refs were letting them get away with it.
Looks like we may have found a MAC rival. From what I’ve seen, they have the bast athletic program in the MAC.
They have more alumni money to play with than most in the MAC, they have a decent sized enrollment (though smaller than ours), and they have a hockey team in a top conference (NCHC).
There are worse teams to consider in that bucket.

The thing is, they already have a big rivalry with Ohio
Miami OH has a rich history, tons of fraternities originated there, and their endowment is almost 2x of ours

It's hilarious their fans were bitching. That foul call on DHS on that 3 ball at the end was ridiculous. Not even near him and refs still gave them a shot with 3 FTs. They've gotten several calls go their way just in the 3 games we've played them never mind all season. They lost, suck it up

I watched this. I don’t understand what protection he wants. Anyone willing to enlighten me?

I don't know, man. It's just loser stuff from a guy that has unfortunately shown this year that his default setting is to act like a baby. It was hilarious to me that he threw out the undefeated thing, like being undefeated should get them some extra advantage that normal 1st place teams don't get. No Travis, you get the same advantage that every 1 seed gets: you play the lowest seed, get the most rest after the game, and it was a total home crowd environment too. The deck was stacked against UMass and they still beat you, it's just that simple. I think what he was advocating for was playing later in the day, but whatever, it's March. It's tournament time. There are a lot of games at unusual times because it's all tournament play.

I suspect that he'd liked to get a first round bye and only start play in the semifinals.

He seemed mad about the 11 am start time. Most conferences allow the 1 seed to play early to give them extra rest

^ He needs to STFU! I’ll bet a dollar that if Miami had won the 11 am start time would never have been mentioned.
