Am I a bad fan to root for a loss as long as it leads to our AD being fired?

Lets have it both ways: a UMass win and Bamford gets fired.

It'll be interesting to see...
- What DHS's status is, and even if he plays how much effort he is able/willing to give. He's mailed it in a few times this season.
- If the players in general respond any differently.
- How Banks plays/shoots. The 3-18 the other night was his worst % in a game this season in which he took more than 10 shots. His attitude could also use an adjustment after the costly technical.
- If/how we defend Javontae Campbell. Dude hung 47 on us in January, and he's 4th in the MAC in season scoring average with 18.6

Im still locked in to watch the team finish out the season. Over the past 25 years we all witnessed the ups and downs of the program. Some shining moments and a couple of season where we thought we flipped the narrative. As a fan i hope we get on the path to success. Gonna wear my gear and cheer these guys or the next group always. tough mentally after 4 straight losses but hoping they find a way to win this one and grab the last game to at least finish on the upside.

*5 straight including the non-conference OOC game at Coastal.

I'm with you Bunker. Trying to stay enthusiastic and positive that they'll finish strong, but the Buffalo and Ball St collapses are tough pills to swallow.

Is this the team we gave up 47 to in a game? If so, Franciso should just show the tape of this kid scoring. Then say to the team, he'll do it again or do you guys have some pride and plan to stop him?

If UMass wants to win this game they will, if they want to let BG hang around and then have the game decided on a coin flip that could happen to.

no. you need to email the trustees and Reyes. I personally think Marty Meehan has a hand in this.

That’s what I like to hear. Still alive for the Mac tourney, I’d like to see us make it and see what we can do. I get we all want bamford gone but actively rooting for us to lose isn’t fun.

Spoiler Alert: IF we make it, we can't do anything.

Yeah. Javontae Campbell torched us all game, but it was especially noticeable at the end when we had a defender playing a soft full court defense and he would just run by the guy, get some downhill momentum, and take it right to the hoop for either an easy bucket or bucket and a foul.

Unfortunately, that's been the extent of Frank's coaching. Telling the guys to have some pride and defend, when really he should be adjusting the plan to his personnel. Don't defend full court. He's too fast and he'll blow by you. He proved it over and over again in the 1st game. Play half court defense, force him to move the ball around, and take your chances with the other guys.

Based on the lack of in-game coaching, the opponent, being a road game, and the probable mentality of our guys, my confidence level is at about 10%. Nolan predicts a 3-pt loss, Torvik a 5-pt loss. I'll be watching though.

Have Jayden on Javontae all game and play a box and one defense - basketball fundamentals.

Consensus lines have us at +4

Frank pregame...
DHS has some tendonitis in his ankle. Still day to day, won't start today, unsure if he'll get any minutes.
Wimbley will start today at the 3, Jayden will go to the 4, Bettiol the 5.

Update: DHS is fully out. He's on the bench in sweats.
