Seems Frank has been unhappy with the team 's defense for quite a while now, and with good reason. Apparently, you can coach defense, but the payers have to be able to execute.

Yeah it'd be awesome if all the games are on one platform, but that's the modern media landscape for you.

We continue to foul our way to losses.

We went into the night already worst in the MAC with 20.5 personals per game. We ultimately picked up 29, and sent the Zips to the line 43 times. That's our worst of the season in a 40-minute game.

Our inability to defend without fouling just kills us.

And then when the opponent converts at the .838 clip that they did, say goodnight Gracie. (That was the 2nd-highest an opponent has hit on us this season.)

I didn't think the calls were that one sided. Maybe a little in Akron's favor, but we just can't play D for shit.

Ya the foul differential was the game and the zips were solid from the line. To be honest not disappointed. Akron was a really good team and everyone on the floor could score. But I agree with the posts regarding our defense. We never seem to get the stops when we need them . Anyway on to Miami.

I'm not sure where the height info came from. Lyles is a starter and he's 6'9, 240. The other starters from the last few games are:
Johnson 6'0
Young 6'0
Halligan 6'5
Mahaffey (Evan) 6'6

So yes, they do play small with the first guys off the bench at 6'2, 6'6, 6'3 and Barre (6'10) who gets 8 minutes.

Yup, when I heard Jay announce the Akron starters I was like, wait, the Collegian told me they don't play anybody over 6'7". It immediately changed my outlook on the game. Oh well.

Akron was the better team, but why keep your two
best perimeter scorers on the bench late in the 2nd half at different points. K'Jei sat for an extended period and Banks at the end. I get the foul situation but damn, go for it.
