I think Pop will get both Bass and Griffin to come to UMass - they are best friends and played together on 2 state championships - Griffin would be a bigger get than Bass but Pop has already put something on X about getting to work and he tagged both Bass and Griffin - so I have to believe he's trying to get them to come here.

Griffin had a pretty good Sophomore year at BC but took the NIL and went to Wisconsin and had 1 catch for 5 yards his Junior year - which I believe was a red shirt Jr year so he may have 2 years left just like Pop. Bass started for UConn so he'd be a big addition on the O-Line - hopefully Pop can do work like he said he was.

Unless the UConn website is mistaken, Bass is listed as participating in 1 game this past season. Had two games as a reserve at Syracuse. Would still be happy to land him as part of a Central trio.

I don't think it's mistaken. Bass has been reserve OL at ucon after transferring from cuse. He should probably have gone to UMass originally where he may have had a better opportunity to play and develop.

According to the internet, he wore #2 in high school as well. I’d say that’s a good sign.

From his twitter it looks like he was injured this past season and applied for a medical redshirt which would give him two years of eligibility if granted.
