As of today Massey has this is a toss up with Umass showing a 49% change of winning (1 point spread).

Hopefully being a home game will get them over the top - because it sure as shit won't be foul shooting .

From a league competitiveness standpoint, this should be a good barometer to set the tone for the Conference Schedule.

Massey and Nolan now have us winning by 1 or 2. See what a couple of wins against P4 teams will do for you.

^ and Torvik has us favored by 3.5, winning by 3. Kent St lost yesterday at 186 NET Portland. We're both off until the game on Saturday.

Kent St scores 96.6 points per game! Delrecco Gillespie is a load. 6'8", 215. 19.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, 2.0 blocks. He also converts at the line, 74.1%. We'll need Clerc and possibly Damjanac to help keep him in check. They also have a bunch of guys shooting 40% or better from three. This is going to be tough.

Conference play starts this week with historic first MAC conference game for UMass. Kent State at UMass. UMass earned a couple Jolly Rogers this week vs ACC schools. Kent State has been among the most consistent contenders in the MAC last 25 years. True test for UMass. Kent State is very good this year and title contender along with Akron and Miami.

MAC Commissioner Jon Steinbrecher announced Tuesday that he’d given every team in the MAC a Jolly Roger pirate flag to fly when it beats a Power 5 school or wins a bowl game.

Had a few minutes and posted it for you, inthescoop as this is our first season and should be more understanding that fans do not know the reason for flying the flag.
