Definitely a neutral game. I doubt either squad had more of a cheering section. South Florida is a different world than the Panhandle, although we certainly had to travel much further than the Noles. I thought it was cool that Parker, Outlaw and Wembley got a game in their home state. As far as the transfer match-up, I’d say Mohammed got the better of Wembley, but DSH block on him was pretty damn serious.

Two things can be true: UMass won a game on the road against FSU. The game was played at a neutral sight.
Re: Game 11, 2025-26: Florida State in Sunrise FL (12/13)
Frank is consistently on Clerc, but the kid is responding and becoming more aggressive. And its helping his confidence. 2 games in a row battling ACC front court bigs and he's contributing. Gotta love it.
Lots of guys had good moments in this game. We've got 4 guys who can pretty consistently give us buckets when we need 'em. And we're getting front & back court production. DHS was excellent today, Bettiol had a great game, Banks was money, and K'Jei consistently hitting shots. Danny improved as the game wore on and hit some great shots driving to the hoop. And Donovan Brown gave us some very solid minutes and nailed a very big 3.
Made my weekend with the win. Great game, especially on the road

Frank said postgame after BC that he is probably too hard on Clerc but the kid is responding

It’d be like us playing at the Garden. I get Tallahassee to Miami is a hike but still in the same state and I’m sure thousands of fsu alumni in the Miami area. I’d consider it a road game for UMass.

Miami is a little over six hours from Tallahassee. FSU has fans for sure. Florida is fairly territorial for its fandom. It was a neutral site more like if we played in Philadelphia.Quann wrote: Sat Dec 13, 2025 8:40 pm It’d be like us playing at the Garden. Gators are the one school that covers the state. The joke is “you know the one thing all the students at a Florida have in common with students at FSU? They all got into FSU.”doubledribble wrote: Sat Dec 13, 2025 10:24 pmThought I saw a bunch of Florida gator fans in the standsminutefanjsf wrote: Sat Dec 13, 2025 10:17 pmMiami is a little over six hours from Tallahassee. It sounded to me that the Gator fans were rooting for UMass as they rolled in for the second game.

Yo IV, what did we learn about the boys? Let's go!!!InnervisionsUMASS wrote: Sat Dec 13, 2025 8:46 am Hoping for a good performance today... not going to be easy. I think we find out a lot about the boys today.
Great point, Sheck. Our guys had a quick turnaround, finals, and a plane ride to play in Florida. Really impressive in how they brought such great energy and not only competed with FSU, but at times blew them out of the water.Sheck wrote: Sat Dec 13, 2025 2:24 pm Really impressive win overall. These guys were coming off of the BC game, had finals the next day, then had to jump on a plane Friday and come play another P5 opponent. Let's enjoy it.
We're starting to see Clerc figure this thing out, which is great. The bench has been a glaring weakness and now with Parker coming off the bench and Clerc showing some consistency, that will help tremendously. And hey look at that, Donovan Brown got in the game, played meaningful minutes, and contributed. Things are looking up.
