Regardless of whether you agree with their demands, I think you can acknowledge that neither the demands nor the tactics were unreasonable or unprecedented. UMass has divested on moral grounds before, apartheid South Africa in the 1980s and fossil fuels in 2016, both only after disruptive protests and initial administrative resistance.m626t wrote: Sun Dec 07, 2025 12:17 pm athletics aside, there was also this-

I have to say, I wish he acted to end the pro terrorist activities sooner rather than later.
Divestment and disclosure don’t stop Israel in any meaningful way. They simply ask that UMass not participate in, or benefit from, the profits of the war.
