Heads up for anyone planning to come to the UMass vs Boston College game at the MassMutual Center on December 10th.

The Commonwealth Legacy Foundation is providing free tickets for families, kids, and community members across Western Mass. A bunch of youth groups and community organizations are already signed up, but the offer is open to everyone (including folks on here). If you know families, neighbors, coaches, or anyone who would enjoy the game, feel free to share it with them.

The goal is simple. Pack the arena, get a big crowd behind the team, and give local kids a great experience.

Ticket request link is here: https://themassachusettscollective.form ... quest_form

Hope to see a big turnout and a loud building. Learn more about the org here: https://www.commonwealthlegacyfoundation.org/

BC has had some bad games this year. They lost to Central CT and earlier today they fell behind The University of New Haven (DII) by 10 at halftime before winning 67-63. They have also had some good games, but I don't think they are any better than we are.

It would be great to go down to Florida on a 4-game winning streak.

New Haven is D1 this year. Not really much better than DII, but they stepped up this year.

I'm hoping that this game will be a success and that we can schedule a true h2h matchup right after - one game at Chestnut Hill and one in Amherst.

Big game coming up on many fronts:

- Need to win and continue to build confidence and momentum
- Need to rebuild a regional rivalry
- Need to piss off all of BC
- Need to perform well so that Springfield and other local neutral facilities want to host us again

BC fans are right now pretending like they don't care about this game. They will when we curb stomp them.

^ In addition, this is probably the game on the schedule that will get the most attention from casuals. Win this and you might start to get build buzz around the fanbase and get some bigger crowds at Mullins.

Having two ACC teams in a row is a huge opportunity. They aren't the cream of the ACC crop, but that doesn't matter. They're name brands and winning one or both of them would build some excitement.

Totally agree. Wins against "name" schools would create a bit of buzz.

We have over 2,100 tickets out now through Commonwealth Legacy Foundation. We were aiming for 500, so we are pretty blown away by the response from the different groups.

Hopefully the regular normal crowd also shows so we can get 5,000 or so and a good atmosphere in the building.

That's freakin' awesome. Nice job. Hopefully with all those kids they have a "field day" type atmosphere like the women get.

Who's going on Wednesday?

I will be. Sneaking away from work a little early to try to get ahead of traffic out of SW CT.

Warren Nolan has us losing by one, 72-71 and Torvik has us winning by one, 70-69, so the statisticians think it's a tossup and should be a close one.
