Jeez Mike, you turn Cloudflare back on and you immediately break the internet!
Ha ha. Fortunately I hadn't turned it back on yet.
An interesting read in how Cloudflare tries to stay ahead of malicious activity, and once in a while, makes a mistake

Oh, really? The site was down yesterday morning with the Cloudflare error that most sites were giving. So much for the joke!

I didn't see that. It's possible that my hosting provider also relies on Cloudflare, and routes traffic thru them regardless of whether I turn it on for my site specifically.

That's probably it. It was this error.
Joke officially taken back.

Update on this topic...
Resource Limit / 503 errors continue to occur from time to time. What's new lately is they're no longer fitting the pattern where I would see high hundreds or 1000+ "users" online. Resource Limit hit me just before typing this reply, and the board only shows 70 users online.
I may turn Cloudflare back on at some point, but due to the issues being more of the exception than the norm, I'm not acting on that urgently.

It's a little bit of a pain, but all it takes is refreshing the screen once or twice to get past it. For me it's not that big a deal.

The 503 and 508 errors are hefty today.

I've seen the same, some recurrence of the same glitches.
I have some vacation days over this holiday season. I'll try to get Cloudflare turned back on and we'll go from there.
Thanks y'all for your patience.
