For what it's worth, the site working glitch free for me today.
All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

One of my favorite sites, Sports-Reference.com, is also using Cloudflare, apparently for site defense and traffic management.

This site showed some 503 and Resource Limit errors again a couple days ago, so those are still coming and going. I may still turn Cloudflare back on here.

Resubmitting my vote for you to turn cloudfare back on. I have no problem with the extra click as long as it brings site functionality back.

^ Agree. It's been a pain the last 2 days, but a refresh or 2 gets you to the next page.

This is getting very annoying. Get this fixed or there is no use trying to get on.

Can the users chip in for UMassHoops to upgrade to a better/faster server?

Understood, but please remember some basic facts...
1. I'm not an IT professional by trade, so some of the technical stuff isn't easy for me.
2. I'm a one-man operation, juggling this site with family and day-job responsibilities.
3. This site is free to use and not ad-supported. I also haven't done a fundraising request in multiple years now.

Berkman treat yourself to the early bird special today and relax. Mike is doing the best he can given the Wild West that is the internet nowadays and I fully appreciate his dedication to foster UMass fandom and keep us all together in our weird corner of the web over the years.

Contributions would be appreciated, as I pay for this site and its hosting costs out of my own pocket. I'll make a good faith effort to bring improvements to the site.

503 and Resource Limit errors were pesky yesterday and earlier today. At the moment it looks better but I'll soon be turning Cloudflare back on. I will try to carve out time to do that soon. It's not a difficult change but I am SWAMPED in my day job right now.

It is currently Mon Oct 13, 2025 4:42 pm

Very strange how the number of "users online" goes in such peaks and valleys.

Just now:
It is currently November 6th, 2025, 8:25 pm
In total there are 89 users online :: 6 registered, 0 hidden and 83 guests (based on users active over the past 5 minutes)

89 to 1601 is a massive swing. Really curious what's truly driving it. The answer probably lies in the server logs somewhere but it's beyond me how to get to that data.

Still having problems getting in at various times. Why can't this be fixed?

Ha ha. Fortunately I hadn't turned it back on yet.

An interesting read in how Cloudflare tries to stay ahead of malicious activity, and once in a while, makes a mistake
