You have a link to that? Shame if true, I liked Greene.
UMass74.blogspot.com. It's anonymous but sounds legit. The again you never know
I read the 74 blog every day, I don't see anything there citing that Greene is out of the running. In fact, Dewey's story states the exact opposite.

Check that, I read it in the comments section. An anonymous comment isn't really something you can take seriously, no matter how "legit" it sounds.

Christ I hope Fiore doesn't get this job. The potential backlash for something like that is just not worth it.

The letter the SGA wrote has some strong words regarding Fiore as a finalist for the position, which the University has ignored by inviting him to campus for an interview.

I also didn't realize that the woman who wrote the espnW article was the same journalist who wrote the story when Gordon came out. If the first openly gay player in men's NCAA history transfers out of UMass because of who we hire as AD that could cause irreparable damage to the athletic department. I'm not saying he'd do that, but I wouldn't be surprised or blame him if he did.

Sure. Give the job to Fiore, so the school can then spend the next six months defending its decision and working with Fiore to help clear his name. I can see the protests now at the first home football game next season. He may be the best candidate for all I know, but the baggage is just not something this athletic program needs at this time.

Anything Bamford should go over here:

Keeping this one open in case there's any lingering McCutcheon commentary.

Maybe I'll retract this post. Just a bit of continuing scandal at his school. Yikes

My source isn't surprised by what your source said because they told me that Bamford puts on a great front.

I didn't know anything at all about Bamford until I heard his name mentioned in the article and then I contacted my source who I knew could give me information about him.

I was dissapointed in what my source told me about him.

Again, let me reiterate that I trust my source but I am not saying they are 100% right either. I personally have no relationship with Bamford. Every story has two sides.

You guys know me, I've been trying to stay away from controversy. I just thought this was important.

Not for nothing, but I went back and skimmed through the 14 pages of posts about Bamford being hired and it is a bit depressing.

It is definitely a Monday morning QB opinion but holy shit, what a miss.

In looking at what he promised versus what he has delivered - I just don't understand how he is still employed at Umass.
