...is the most likely non-P4 school to make the playoff! See link below:

Congrats to Chesney; bad luck for Sluka (he's not playing much for them).

And, just another way to frame how stupid Bamford is for not hiring Chesney!

If you were to tell me "hiring him never would have been realistic", then I would simply say, "why, because Bamford is incompetent?"

Why would Chesney have left HC for UMass? They have a better practice facility and Stadium to sell to recruits. JMU type situation was far more appealing, BC should be dialing up his number.
While he would have been a great hire, his star was far too bright for UMass at that time.

While we cut institutional support for football by 1 million and then played 75 to 100% of our early MAC OOC schedule against P4 teams. JMU invested and schedule reasonable, which we are starting to do, but must continue and be consistent. The negatively of some fans and faculty, which lead to the cut of the early FBS years football budget, should stop their negatively. They are complicit to the past issues of top administrators not committing fully to the program. The wheels in motion should be for full commitment and support of the football and other programs. JMU has proven to be the better path.

Success at JMU did not come after a promise to invest 1 or 2 year of investments. JMU has been investing the past 14 years, which has provided true Athletic success. We need to support the investments and keep them going in a continuous cycle like JMU to be truly successful. For those that remember, JMU was passing us in 2011 and they kept at it, would have been the 14th MAC member in 2014 if we went all sports, was invited to CUSA and was able to move to the Sun Belt. Football lead, but it involved all their facilities. Again, JMU strategy has proven to be the better path. Now with our Football Vision 2024 commitment and reasonable scheduling going forward, accelerate investments and leaders hearing us, hope the wheels are in motion to follow JMU's successful example.
Be proud of the present and look to the future.

Blaming faculty and fans for this disastrous past 14 years is unbelievable

Well, I was wrong, the athletic has major issues and think you guys have a solid point. But administration support made this, people wanting the program to fail are complicate.

Again, you guys are right, change is needed in the athletic department. Who is responsible for the NIL spend this year. Think it is Jason Bermant. I won't specifically comment on Ryan Bamford, but know others will and have a point.
