This is some of the positive stuff that people do not realize when looking at the score and stat sheets.
From the Hustle Belt.
Timothy Hinspeter led the way with 17 tackles for the Minutemen, while his fellow linebacker, Derrieon Craig added 11 stops. Hinspeter also intercepted a pass and returned it 63 yards to set up UMass at the Missouri 21 for their only score of the day. Their efforts allowed UMass to enter the second half trailing Missouri 21-6. In all, seven Minutemen had at least seven tackles.
Perhaps most surprising? The Minutemen notched four sacks against the Tigers’ powerful line. A performance against a talented unit like this shows the Minutemen pass rush could be a problem in MAC play. UMass may have more depth on defense than originally thought, giving some hope before conference play.
Be proud of the present and look to the future.

Right, because you're the only one that pays attention.

Stop waiting for UMass to do something big and help UMass do something big. - Shades

6 games left - per Massey we only have a 19% chance to beat Akron, and that is the closest of all remaining games.
Massey gave Umass a slim chance to beat Kent and a spread of 1 - 3 points.
This team is not even competitive.

FIRE THE FU-KING ATHLETIC DIRECTOR - NOW - TODAY!.
I was willing to give him a year with the new football coach and see how the first basketball season in the MAC played out, but this NIL issue is the last straw for me. The issue, as others have stated, is that Bamford promised a check that he couldn't write, and recruiting suffered for it. The NIL money apparently is there now, but during the recruiting stage they weren't able to promise anything because of Bamford's incompetence either on the admin/paperwork side or actually securing the funding in advance of the July 1 go-live date.
Couple that with his extremely vague promises of lackluster stadium funding for duct tape and bubble-gum fixes, and I have no faith in him to actually fund raise for large capital projects. Due to these two issues, I've officially given up on him and think he needs to go immediately.

At the risk of an over the top statement, all of the above puts monumental pressure on Frank this year. If he rolls out a .500 season or worse , the Mullins will have 1,000 or less people in that building and this program is ashes.
It will require a 100%, across the board blow up starting with the AD and ending with the guy who cuts the grass at McGuirk.

Totally. And Frank gets paid handsomely to handle that pressure. If basketball is .500 or worse, as you state, then he and Bamford should go. And I think that would be the final nail in the coffin for the folks that make those decisions.
Whoever cuts the grass at McGuirk has such a sweet gig and does such a tremendous job.*

For the record, the guy that manages the cutting of the grass (maintaining of the turf) is one of the good ones and should absolutely go nowhere.

I say blow up the football program and McGuirk along with it. Enough is enough!
Let’s do what BU did several years ago. I can’t take this agony any longer.

Wasn't McGuirk built on filled in wetlands? Has there been any studies or soils testing to determine if a new stadium is even feasible there?

Beetle goes on a mini-rant today (maybe it was yesterday...), slow rolling over the 3 minutes to calling out Bamford for this. Link to a tweet here with audio of Beetle's commentary:

Sadly, the only way the Mullins gets more 1k in the seats this season is if they go 30-0 and blow everyone out by 30. Otherwise there’s zero appetite for MAC ball.
Retarded artistically. Idiotic in other respects.

There was zero appetite for A10 ball as well when they were bad. People will show up if they are winning no matter who they are playing.

So its been 3+ days now, any word on the unpopular, no time to explain decisions and changes?
