Most of the comments last year were that the game had passed him by !Merlin Samuels wrote: Sat Oct 11, 2025 6:27 pm Shouldn’t have fired Don Brown. At least we were competitive last season.
Keep repeating it.....it may seem less idiotic at some point.JoleonLescottsHair wrote: Sat Oct 11, 2025 5:53 pmCorrect. We just need more investment and a better stadium. Plus, MAC move was a game changer. Brought us stability.Used to be VOR wrote: Sat Oct 11, 2025 5:38 pm I truly believe we are just a $50 million dollar investment away from being a bowl team....it's guar-an-teed!![]()

Did the players give up because they’re not getting paid? That would be somethingPreecherJenkins wrote: Sat Oct 11, 2025 8:57 pm Read on twitter that UMass is having nil issues and not paying the 2-3m that Bambi promised. Anyone have any insight if this is factual?
Does he think he's popular now?...TruBluMaroon wrote: Sat Oct 11, 2025 9:24 pm ?????
'm going to have make some decisions that will make me unpopular and not have time to explain. They have to be done for the people that support this program. - JH

He went 0-10 last year and blew a 2 or 3 games with idiocy.. he deserved to get canned.Merlin Samuels wrote: Sat Oct 11, 2025 6:27 pm Shouldn’t have fired Don Brown. At least we were competitive last season.
Saw the same thing, and also that there's a tie in with basketball, which I posted in the hoops forum. If you all remember, when he crashed the press conference a couple weeks ago and announced stadium improvements, his choice of words strongly indicated that they didn't have funding for the stadium either. The money is drying up, or has already dried up, and losses like Bryant and Kent St aren't going to convince big donors to pitch in.PreecherJenkins wrote: Sat Oct 11, 2025 8:57 pm Read on twitter that UMass is having nil issues and not paying the 2-3m that Bambi promised. If that’s true that Bamford forced Bajakian on Harasymiak then that should be it for Bamford. He hires a HC and then tells him who to hire? How this fraud has kept his job this long is further proof the leadership of this university doesn’t care about athletics in general and football more specifically. Every move this guy makes is driving supporters away from these programs, maybe that’s what they want. I’m surprised some of the major donors haven’t spoken up about the complete and utter failure that is Ryan Bamford but maybe it’s more important to have your ass kissed than to want programs you can be proud of.Juice Stand wrote: Sun Oct 12, 2025 6:16 am Feels very much like we're reaching a watershed moment. Coach Joe is making some very strong statements and I'll be interested in seeing what changes he makes this week. Hopefully starting with firing the offense coordinator, who he was apparently forced to hire by Bamford. What have we had, 3 TD's through 6 games?
