All season tix should have a built in parking fee of $50. Making it part of the package for a reduced cost at least gives the sense that they value the season tix holders. And I understand some may ride in with other STHs, but it's a fee most all would agree with in this new NIL era.

Casual random game fans charge $10/game. Its more reasonable and not gonna make people reconsider hitting a random game.

Now, instead of doing it reasonably, they have come up with ridiculous $ figures and a stupid process. And in addition, giving people more reason to shit on the department and, for some reason, football. And yes, I recognize there are ways to get around the paid parking situation... the department should be promoting that - want premium, pay; want to not pay, park further away. It's what they do at Gillette now.

You cannot make this shit up.

All the more reason that Frank absolutely needs to get out of the gate quickly with this team. They (on paper) have a schedule that should get them no less than 8 OOC wins. You think attendance was on the decline before, put a .500 team or worse on the floor and a very oddly priced parking tab on top of that, and you have a recipe for 1,500 and less attendance.

Although I've had season tickets in the past for Football, basketball, and hockey, my current budget for attending UMass games is currently pretty low (paying for kids' college, etc.). Due to the parking fees this school year I'll probably attend 2-3 hockey games rather than 3-4 and no basketball or football games.

Football does have free parking built in. No idea why they didn’t do it for hoops and hockey.

Lot 12 is free. But have an open minded idea of getting more people contributing, I would have built in a default $25 season ticket holder fee for Lot 25. But had an option to select Lot 12 and have a $25 credit, as an option.

Going deeper, would have the top of Lot 12 for season ticket holders that select it and prepaid parking ticket folks.
Cal's 1yr, the crowd is Booing. He stands up, turns to the crowd and says "Cheer for us!"

Yes. Have a plan similar to lot 11 upgrade for football before they jacked the prices. It was $50 extra for a while.

I think they should put a strip club in the Endzone section with windows to view the field and the dancers. It can be sponsored by the Womens Studies program

For the Mullins Center, if you don’t mind walking (10-15 mins) the lot next to Whitmore is a good option and so is the one across the street near SW and the new apartments . It is easier to get out after a game with a big crowd and it is free.
I believe that all parking lots are free after 5:00 pm and weekends.

These lots would also work for football.

I used to park in the basement in the campus center after 5p, is that still allowed? Also, is the CC Garage taking payments after a game?

Lots off Holdsworth and Governors Drive are also free. Dumb of UMass to charge for parking when many free lots are in the same vicinity and easier to get out of

No, dumb of UMass to not advertise it as charging for premium parking while also indicating that free parking is available further away. Also dumb of UMass for not sticking with simple math (5/10 vs 12/17) and for going with a pain in the ass process (passes on phone, card only, no cash).

Charging something to park is not the problem, in and of itself.
Stop waiting for UMass to do something big and help UMass do something big. - Shades

I’ll be honest, I haven’t tailgated in a long time for a game (having young kids kind of takes away those times of being able to just hang in Amherst for a whole weekend like I did in my mid 20s  ). How does the tailgate compare to the 2000s IV? I know we were only FCS during that tenure but that stretch from like 2004-2008 was pretty awesome. The tailgate atmosphere felt big time and I’ve been to ND, Michigan and FSU games, it was legit. Wondering how it feels compared to that period when I came back for a lot of games post graduation.
