:) Juice Stand, looked at that old article and while true, it's not happening for a long time. What was announced is different with a 3 year plan and a 25-30M price target. The when and dollars are new and measurable. The what will have to wait to New Years for the actual 3 year plan.
3 Goals: Move to FBS, leave the A10, be successful. Football will drive the bus!

I will fully admit that I didn't look to deep into what the "new" plan was. Is it lipstick? Or is it actual structural improvements to the stadium??

Hopefully this works with the 2002-era web-board syntax. This is fun, it's like MySpace, why can't I post MIDI files of My Chemical Romance? If not, click the link.

Anyway, not only is UMass 136th out of 136th in FBS but they are worse than:
Roughly 60 FCS schools;
9 Division 2 schools; AND
1 Division 3 school

It is lipstick and ADA fixes. The ADA fixes were the main parts of the last incarnation of the three phase plan, that has been replaced with the “new and improved/expedited” three phase plan. lol. The ADA fixes are necessary for any expansion or rebuild, etc. If, big if, the concrete stands are safe and can be used as a foundation, they will be. All of the big stadiums I’ve been to, Kinnick being the last, are concrete and aluminum bleachers, very similar to McGuirk aesthetics. 25 million will get rid of the gravel, build some walls, and maybe a few permanent concessions along with some ADA upgrades to set the stage for expansion, if the money ever comes in. Maybe some video boards and digital banners and sound upgrades are part of this plan too.

^^ Yeah, you mentioned maybe some video boards, and as much as the current vid board was a gift and appreciated at the time, it's starting to look like that 19 inch tv you'd have in your bedroom in 1979. It's not even easy to see the score sometimes. (not that we've wanted to see the score very much these days)

They also don’t show replays……I have no idea why we even have a video board.

What does 25 million get you in 2025 or 2027? Just quoting Rene Ingoglia: "If UMass loses the next 99 games, I'll still be a fan"...........I guess me too. Hate to say it, but 0-12 is a real possibility this year and LIU beat Eastern Michigan 28-23 on Sept 6th and Sacred Heart beat LIU this year. If we lose to Sacred Heart next September..............

Eastern Michigan is getting pasted by Central Michigan.........so of course we don't play Eastern Michigan this year, but Central Michigan of course we do. If it wasn't for bad luck, we wouldn't have any.

I don’t mind that, all that means is that the eastern Michigan loss would have hurt more

Ohio over BGSU.
Swithing over to ESPN+ from CBSSPORTS for UConn vs Buffalo. Then watch the beginning of Rhody vs W Mich. Then hoping we can score a bit on ESPNU vs #20 Mizzou

Good news / Bad news

According to Massey our odds of beating W Michigan dropped from 21% to 19% BUT our odds of beating Kent went up from 52% to 54% - this is the only projected win (by chances to win) on our schedule. For the record our next closes chance to win any remaining games is Akron at 31% (that is also the only game with a projected losing margin of less than double digits - 7).

If they do beat W. Michigan I hope UMass has a solid plan to prevent fans from storming the field. :shock:

From here I am just looking for a spark and signs of reasonably decent play and then hoping Coach H mirrors the 1st seasons of Cal and Carvel
