Hearing Owen Mehlenbacher (Wisconsin) and Matthew Wilde (RIT) to UMass out of the portal

Mehlenbacher was Detroit 7th rounder in 2022

The kid from Wisconsin didn't score much but the RIT kid had 18 goals in 27 games. He missed the first 8 games due to a pre-season injury. We can use some help in the scoring dept.

Just for reference; there were ninety-eight (98) players listed on the initial Hobey Baker candidates list for 2025.

The 2025 HB nominees were released in late January 2025 and the 2026 HB nominations will probably be released around the same time.

2025 nominees also included Cole O’Hara and Aydar Suniev and neither of those two will be on this year’s list.
