Avalanche Forever @citchmook
🚨BREAKING NEWS🚨

Cale Makar sustained a lower-body injury last night against Calgary and has been labeled week-to-week, there is a good chance that he won't be available for round one of the playoffs. Massive loss.
"Jack didn’t have any envy in him," Calipari said. "He was the greatest coach to ever coach here."

The sucker punch to the head? I just want to make sure I saw the correct video. Looked like one of the worst cheap shots I’ve ever seen.

Yeah that’s why I was confused. This was the cheap shot I was talking about: https://x.com/citchmook/status/1907101754397012430?s=46

Cale got #30 tonight. Only the 9th defenseman to do so and the 1st in 16 years!

I think the only thing that stop him is an injury. Join me in praying that this never happens,

My concern when he left Umass was that he was too small to be a defenseman in the NHL and that he would get pounded in the corners by big/tough NHL forwards. I had the chance to talk to Charlie McAvoy of the Bruins about Makar & he said “Cale is too fast to get hit in the corners”

Yeah this isn't likely to be an issue for him until later in his career when he slows a bit. But by then, assuming he is still trying to play and do so at a high level, he'll likely have transformed his body a bit and put on some muscle.

His Colorado teammates definitely have his back. They’re a fun team to watch.
