Playing a bit more with the “You Are The Committee” tool on CHN. Something like this might get UMass to Allentown.

I don’t know that I’d be able to make Allentown, but I think more UMass fans would be there than Toledo or Fargo so I’m rooting for this or something similar. I think the keys are knocking Penn State and perhaps North Dakota out so there’s no hosts and then also having QPac win their semi final game but lose in the finals.

Luke Pavicich in goal for Arizona State against Denver. ASU needs to win NCHC championship to get into NCAA tournament. 2-2 early Period 3

Congrats to Maine, HE tournament champs. They won 5-2. Taylor Makar scored Maine’s 4th goal.

ASU lost to Denver and Western Michigan just beat North Dakota 4-2. Denver plays Western Michigan tomorrow in the NCHC final at 8:30 EDT on CBSSN.

Also, Cornell beat Quinnipiac tonight and plays Clarkson in the ECAC final tomorrow.

Gonna be an anticlimactic championship Saturday. 14 of the 16 NCAA participants are determined. Only mystery is the AHA champion and ECAC champion.

From UMass’s point of view they’re almost assuredly heading to Fargo unless the committee does something funky. If WMU beats Denver, UMass will play Minnesota. If WMU loses to Denver, we’re gonna get some early MACtion.

Whoever UMass doesn’t play will most likely be the opponent in the second round if UMass wins. I think I want WMU to win so UMass gets Minnesota first. They’ve been off for a long time after an early exit in the B1G tournament. Maybe they’re rusty?

College hockey is one of the sports UMass can compete in nationally. I hope the University realizes this and adds a women’s team.

Same Taylor Makar that had a Game Misconduct for Cross-Checking against a team that he said he had no problem with. Wonder what would have happened if he didn’t like UMass!

I think it’s a tie with Ohio State with OSU getting the tie-breaker; which would match up UM with #6 …who is UConn, which won’t happen because the committee doesn’t like First Round Matchups with league teams….so there will be switching around with the seeds and then the matchups……probably be Vs Minnesota in Fargo….

Crazy that Penn St. and Ohio St. get “home” games.

Same way we had a 'home' game last year against Denver. Although Ohio State is not a host school, that more happened because the NCAA tries to minimize travel.
