Sports Center says no on fouls and foul shots. Most fouls since 1917, and most foul shots since 1997. I have not seen the record on guys fouled out. Our game had ten.

Nathan posted this on Twitter related to UMass records:
A list of records that UMass just set:

Most points scored in a game in program history (120)
Most combined points in a game (238)
Most pts by a UMass player (46, Diggins)
Most fouls, team (39)
Most RBS (61)
Most DRB (39)
Most fouls committed, opponent (40)
Most FTA (57)

Looks like the most points scored is actually tied.

Tied the record. Scored 120 twice before, both against Vermont, last time was 1/8/1965.
Thanks. No 3s then. I’m guessing both Vermont games were in regulation.
Correct. Interestingly, the final score was the same in both games, 120-84.

I was hoping for 4th OT to go for all time FT record. This was a dreadful combination of guys not knowing how to play tough D without fouling and terrible officiating.

we are on the wrong path with FM..ugh

Can someone please tell me exactly what happened at the end of OT1 when we fouled a 3-point shooter up by 3? Was it a legit foul or a ghost call?
It was a foul committed by our football player trying to play basketball

This right here. What an unbelievable game by Diggins considering the circumstances. For anyone boycotting the Mullins Center because this team isn't worth the drive (and I don't blame you), try to make it out to senior night and give Diggins a standing ovation. He's had opportunities to leave, but he stayed and gave us THAT performance last night. That's not just a game, that's a memory that we'll have for a long time, and a game that will live in the record books forever.

The game itself was frustrating on a number of levels, but anyone that tuned in got to witness a special performance. I'm not going to talk about the game. I'm just enjoying a rare win and an all-time performance from Diggins.

OC, only if you win :P

One thing I gotta point out, and it may seem trivial, was when Ty Foster had to come in and shoot FTs for Rivera vey late in this one, after sitting all night. Cold as a mutha f#cking ice cube, & at a key point of the game, put at the line. Think he hit 1, missed another. But he also made a couple good plays after that. But being put in at that moment, after not seeing any prior time, was a tough spot. I give the kid credit

Lot of good parts to the game, lot of bad, but it sure was entertaining

I missed the beginning-what was wrong with Diggins that he threw up multiple times?

the play that led to Foster going in knocked Rivera out of the game. He had to leave with a cut near his eye. Earlier in the game there were reviews for flagrant fouls, but none for that play, which left me wondering how the refs don't review a play where someone gets cut like that and has to leave the game. Perhaps the refs needed to go home, as the game went crazy long. Don't think they keep records on how long a game took; last night's may have been it. SNY has a replay scheduled for 2 hours this afternoon; wonder how much they'll show.

Happy for Diggins. After the tough start to this season, he's been totally great. Average for the first 5 A10 games is 27 points. Better D from him too. 49 minutes played, with most of the minutes he missed were probably spent puking. Awesome.

Not sure I've seen any reason put out there yet.

anyone got a link to the post game presser? I half ass looked but couldn't find one - thanks in advance

also - for those who were wondering who kept chatting up Diggins on those side out of bound plays opposite the UMass bench - it was the one and only Curry Hicks Sage from Twitter

Rahsool looks much more confident than he was earlier. Almost appears like he was pressing early in the season but now is just playing without pressure and he's flowing right now. Great to see his talent shine and his leadership coming thru
