amazing how all the P5's missed on RJ - K State did offer but if I remember correctly RJ never actually went for his visit - I believe he actually canceled and signed with UMass within days. Rutgers offered too but at the time they were pretty bad and they are kind of a lower level P5 anyway.

Since the start of Big10 play Cohen has only played 37 total min and has 6 points total and 5 fouls. His overall min have been inconsistent most of the season. He has played 15 min or less in 9 of their 15 games this season.
Anyone who watched him play last season knew he'd be too slow and overmatched in the Big10.

He might have known but I'm sure he was thinking if someone is going to pay me $500K or whatever he got, who am I to turn it down.

For both Matt and Josh it was the money. Matt was more likely to stay than Josh as he really liked it here. However, each got somewhere between $400,000 and $500,000 and we couldn't come anywhere near that. I'm glad to see that Matt is doing well at SMU.

Maybe I have a weird take on this, but Cross and Sool made it much easier for him last year because of all of the attention they drew. He wouldn't put those numbers up on this year's team. With no outside shooting, teams pack the box this year and we have a tough time getting the ball to our centers. Are the centers part of the problem, yes, but this is a different team.

I guess it really doesn't matter, but our outside shooting might be better if ANYONE could regularly score under the basketball on this current squad.

USC played only 7 players in that game and one of the seven only played 5 min! Cohen played 11 min! Two played all 40 min, one played 37min, and one 37 min!
Lack of depth or injuries!

4 minutes two turnovers versus Wisconsin today.

Not sure he’s going to play anywhere next year.

I watched some of the USC upset over #7 Michigan State today. Cohen played 17 min with 7 points off the bench. The announcers said USC pretty much only play 6-7 players each game and Cohen is part of the 6th man rotation. The starters often play 35+ min per game.

Overall since USC started Big Ten play Cohen has struggled with not a lot of playing time. He has scored a total of 20 points on 21 FG attempts and 16 rebounds total in those 8 Big Ten games. These are numbers he would have been getting per game had he stayed at UMass. What a shame!

How far has Josh Cohen fallen? In last night's loss to Northwestern, he played 3 minutes and had all zeros on the scoresheet. He didn't start so I don't know if he was injured or has just been relegated to the bench.
