Honestly I don't blame the cops.. 200 guys in full gear.. they were gonna get hurt. Day has earned nothing.. he was handed the keys to Ohio Sate with never accomplishing anything as a HC

Personally, I’d take this list, sort by winning percentage, and consider anyone with a good percentage who has coached more than 20 games and who is not looking to retire in the next 10 years.

I love that Kevin Callahan is still coaching at Monmouth, where in the mid-90's I did a WJLK radio internship covering the team, using my WMUA skillset 🤣

From north Jersey, played at Springfield College, and brought Maine to an FCS semifinal and earned FCS coach of the year honors. Since then he's been with Minnesota as a positional coach and is currently at Rutgers as DC. If being from the NE, having FCS head coach success, and being familiar with big time FBS football are requirements, he checks those boxes.

Yeah, this was a name I thought about. But I think his time has passed for a MAC impact.

If he's available and has that buyout, he's the guy we'd want.

But the reality is that as an OC at an SEC school, which he'd easily get, he'd keep his value high.

If UMass wants a coach with FBS head coaching experience, it will have to be someone at rock bottom.

If they go with a FCS coach, it should be someone who knows the MAC region. There will always be transfers, but the bulk of the team is going to have to come from regions that produce players.

That said, it's strange that Mora is considering the CMU job, solely because they have conference stability.

You'd think he be pushing UConn to at least join the MAC as #14 on a temporary basis until UConn takes the impending next ACC slot.

If UConn is staying put, he'd be better off at UMass.

Go get the guy from Lehigh.. Patriot Coach of the year and just upset Richmond in the playoffs.. Lehigh pretty much sucked for 10 years before he got there.

He really looks like a great hire. His background is special teams too...Not too young or old, on the way up, knows the area. Remember watching him play QB for Springfield College.

The police should police the fans and let the coaches take care of the players! A football player on a football field should never be pepper sprayed!

The game is over.. they are no longer players in that situation. Plus the ohio state coach was on the sideline sucking his thumb.

Schools taking offense to 'flag planting' has now become a thing apparently as brawls happened in multiple games yesterday. But as far as OSU-Mich goes, pepper spray should never have been used on the players. There will be lawyers.

But the fact that Ryan Day just stood there and watched it all without intervening just proves that he's not capable of being a D1 head coach, whether at a big time school like OSU or at lowly UMass.

Couple interesting names from Sage's spaces last night. Lembo from Buffalo and Joe Judge. Lembo wins everywhere and is currently in the MAC.. I'm assuming he would jump for pay and NIL resources. And then there's Judge.. he's failed everywhere.. so please no. I'd be perfectly happy with Lembo. Then we need to see if Brown gets fired today at WVU. I think he would be ok.. but I'm luke warm on him.
