DAV - no sched yet
DAY - Capital (D3)
DUQ - no sched yet
FOR - Georgian Court (D2)
GM - Ferrum (D3)
GW - no sched yet
LAS - Immaculata (D3)
LOY - Eureka (D3)
RI - Franklin Pierce (D2)
RICH - Mount Olive (D2)
SBU - Mansfield (D2)
SJU - all D1
SLU - Avila (NAIA), Williams Woods (NAIA)
VCU - Elizabeth City (D2)
Hope this is not a sign of the new A10. Thought it usually less than half the teams scheduling lower divisions and mostly Exhibition Games. Now most of the teams dipping not just low level D1, but D 2 and D3 teams. There are over 360 D1 teams to schedule.
Be proud of the present and look to the future.

Like you said Steve, there are hundreds of D1 basketball schools and you only play 30-35 total regular season games I don't get scheduling any D2 or lower teams.

It's a bit of an oversimplification to say there are hundreds of D1 schools, so we should be able to get a game. We're not going to schedule a lower conference school from across the country in December. But I agree that it's hard to believe there weren't regional options other than UMass Boston. There are so many school in the Northeast. What about Quinnipiac, Maine, Boston U, Fairfield, or Holy Cross?

I don’t hate it. While it’s odd, we have a competitive schedule. This may provide the opportunity to do some adjustments based on the results to that date but in a live game scenario.

UMB comes with a lot lower cost and a much higher win probability..

I am surprised since they have gone D1 they haven't scheduled a game vs. Merrimack College yet.

If we lose to D3 Boston State, cancel the program. Honestly, there is zero benefit to playing D2 or D3 schools as a D1 program. I will never understand it.

In regards to UMB, the only explanation I can of is that we are both part of the UMass system. I'm sure we could've found someone else in either D1 or 2. I can't think of a time when we played a D3 school in season. Does anyone know? To me it seems like big bro throwing his little bro a bone bc his parents told him to for whatever reason.

Yeah, dodging an in state fellow D1 program that is your rival is a terrible comparison.

Doesn’t prevent that from being their argument.

They don't come to Davidson this year so I won't get to see them in person.

We have a pretty darn fun schedule this coming season and people are whining about us playing UMass Boston? So that one game, a game that will give us a deeper look at the bench, obfuscates the rest of what Frank got us?

Give Frank a break :!:

Last year people complained about not playing a full schedule. I'd rather have a game than no game. Also, we have a cool exhibition vs PC. They did a damn good job putting together this schedule.
