I honestly think that Tyler was better than what we saw on the court.

I don't believe that he was given every opportunity by his teammates. There were plenty of times on the pick and roll that he was open and was overlooked.

I also believe that he would have benefitted from more playing time. He had the size and height to be dominant. Certainly demonstrated the willingness and heart and attitude to be more.

Maybe a coach overseas saw these things and can get more out of him. Look at how Putney is playing in the D-league.

Many have argued that Kellog does a horrible job at developing players, and I agree.

I'm guessing he used some sort of Italian heritage/nationality to nab a spot since Euro teams are typically limited to how many Americans they can have on roster, but great to see him continue his basketball career. Had a class with him and can definitely confirm the good guy label.

From everything we've heard about the kid he was well liked and a great kid. Getting a chance to live in Italy and play for money I'm sure is a dream. Some kids develop later than others and TBerg started to come into his own last year and didn't hurt the team. I say great for him, hope he does well and enjoys every minute of it, which I'm sure he will. Not a bad life for a kid just out of college.

I would guess that he was signed as an Italian player and not one of the slots reserved for foreigners. That would make the most sense.

Translation... And apparently he can help the team with long division :D
The Juvecaserta Pasta Palace announces that it has signed a three-year deal with the player Tyler Bergantino, 206 cm center. of American nationality, but of Italian origins. Born October 22, 1993, Ernest Tyler Bergantino was released this year by the Massachusetts University. In the last year of his college career playing 29 games with an average of 2.7 points and 3.4 rebounds per game.
"The three-year contract with Tyler - supports the patron Iavazzi - is proof of the trust that we place in this young man who still has ample room for technical and physical improvement, not to mention the advantage linked to Italian citizenship. In this sense we intended to invest in a young athlete who can be an important element, especially in a future perspective. "
"Tyler - says the general manager Guastaferro - is a nice guy in 1993 who has great room for improvement. We took it and signed for three years because we believe can grow. We will surely give us a hand in long division. Important factors besides age, his Italian passport, which already allows it to be registered as a Community, and the coverage of a commercial that is currently vacant, due to the physical conditions of Nika Metreveli. "

Didn't he major in long division? It's good to see he's putting his college education to work so quickly.

"not to mention the advantage linked to Italian citizenship." I would take this as an indication that he is using an Italian slot and not a foreign slot.

It was too bad when we at the Massachusetts University were forced to release him. I'm happy he was able to move on and find gainful employment elsewhere. I do hear that the food is pretty good in Italy; it may not be as good as at the Massachusetts University's renowned dining commons, but he'll survive.
All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

Has no one realized that the team he signed with is called PASTA PALACE?!? That is badass.

In case anyone was wondering, Tyler and Raphiael, if they are even in the Caserta, Italy (just north of Naples) area right now, were some 150 miles away from the epicenter of the destructive earthquake.

Any idea what kind of money Tyler makes for a 3 year deal?
Im sure its slightly better than my post college career: 9.50/hr and my parents basement.
