Game 23, 2023-24: Rhode Island (2/11)

Post by InnervisionsUMASS » Thu Feb 08, 2024 10:51 am

Super Bowl Sunday matchup at The Bill, 2pm. Opportunity to get some revenge. Hopefully the students use this as a reason to get the SB pregaming going early.

Discuss.

will be there plus 3! URI always draws a big crowd - not sure last nights game will have any affect on the attendance - if anything, this just now became a bigger game than if we had won - Sunday is a MUST win. We are losing just about every tie-breaker right now so we need to even up the season series when we get a chance. I expect this to be the biggest crowd of the year - 5K+

I agree this is a must win and if Dayton beats VCU, then it will bring VCU with 1 game of the mid-pack and still give us a chance for the #4 seed. Need to take care of business against the midpack and bottom teams and maybe just maybe we can pull off a monster win on the road against Richmond!

I have no idea what to expect in this game. URI is more inconsistent that we are. In their last 2 games they lost to Duq. at home by 14 and then beat GW on the road by 23 despite missing Green, probably their best player.

They will NOT shoot 61% (14/23) from 3 against us again. Green is day-to-day so who knows. He burned us for 24 points last game. Also, Matt did not play in that game. So if they are missing Green and we have Matt maybe things swing our way. Although my feeling is that Green plays, as he was out with "an illness".

Hoping for Josh to have a bounce back game. Their bigs do not pose the same challenge as the SBU very large bigs.

Can someone help me with some suggestions as to how to get the Rhode Island Massachusetts basketball game? I live in Maine now and I stream Espnplus And Nesn but don’t have regular cable TV. It’s very tricky these days the games seem to be on different channels different weeks very frustrating wish the athletic department could come up with an easy answer so we don’t have to have a number of subscriptions. any ideas anyone has would be appreciated.

Thanks Make Mullins- got Roku TV and if game on NBC app I should be able to get it perhaps. I think Peacock is available and if I get that it is somehow affiliated on my screen with NBC. ..I always hold my breath on the games. Some not avail able in northern Maine. Sometimes I go to the sports bar. There’s the biggest bowling alley bar here in the state with 84 TVs and a 10 by 13 foot screen biggest in state and almost NO -yes zero-one watches sports on These- only bowlers or people eating .Patriots fans almost non existent at least no interest in this restaurant watching—Bowling lanes fill up however.

Just a FYI - ESPN+ comes for free if you get Hulu.

They're all watching the games in their ice fishing houses. 8)
Looks like you got the 10' ×13' screen. You'll feel like you're there!

Thanks in thescoop information about Hulu
Gets you espn plus.We have Hulu but also pay extra for espn plus🤨. Are there others who are frustrated with the enormity of what you have to know What you want on tv to watch Umass basketball? Do some universities just have one station that takes care of all the games for viewers? Am I asking too much?

I think they win by 25 or more. Frank is so much better if a coach than Archie and Umass is hurting for the Bonnie loss.

Big one today. Rhody at home, tied in the standings. I'm hoping that the super bowl pregame parties don't keep people at home. We should get a big crowd today.
