Any news about the AAC doing anything else beyond adding Army for football?

Well hinted at but here is my dream. UMass, UConn FB, and URI olympic sports to the MAC. Then if UConn never comes or leaves, URI could upgrade their facilities and go all sports.

Like many, believe the current situation is untenable. Some dive in the negative and the past. Some like imagine and dream instead of whoa is us.

We all share the same problem, we want our university to thrive academically and athletically. Sadly we have no control and our beloved university has been run by individuals with no vision, no commitment and no passion for The University of Massachusetts.

These individuals are more concerned about their pensions than to make this institution better than how they found it when they arrived.

^ That's probably true for some of them, but I think Swamy had the best interests of the school as a priority and academically he left it in a better place. Athletics is a different story and it still falls on the State Legislature to increase funding. I know Swamy supported athletics, but I wonder how much he was able to do to get more funding.

OK, think we are screwed. Bamford turned down the MAC in 2022 with WKU needing a partner and not sure our President will bless CUSA.
If our AD is serious about the MAC, he needs to be at Ford Field for the MAC Championship game. Instead, he schedule Ed Ruben donation celebration at the basketball game on Dec 2nd.

Why do you think our president will turn down CUSA?

The MAC pod announcement seems like the MAC is not expanding in 2024.

That article is the end of the MAC talk. No way they are adding teams after voting that in for next season.

Looks like Bamford made the right choice by honoring Signman instead of going to Detroit.

He must of know they were not pleased with UMass back in 2014 and then recently when Bamford gave his loyal to the A10 and only looking for a FB only deal. The MAC wanted to add WKU and that was his response. The water is poisoned and not sure with time if it will purify. Going to the MAC Championship game, would be a step in the purification process.

This is a video from Oct 31, 2021 or 2 years ago and not the same dance my friends as all sports is now on the table, but the same results.
