not a good look for the A10, although Mcneese is now home to JAVOHN GARCIA.
All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

Future lottery pick Garcia? Well, hot damn!
Fun trivia question, who is the other player in the last decade to transfer to McNeese after their stint at UMass?

VCU about to lose to McNeese in their home opener. Big upset.
They didn't look like the VCU we used to see. They only turned McNeese over 5 times. Javohn was 3/10 from the field and 3/5 from the line for 9 points.
Overall, the A10 was 11-1 in men's games yesterday. Just 2 games today. Ours and LaSalle is home to Drexel. Drexel is favored by 2.5.

13-1 but the competition was mostly pretty low.

BREAKING: Dayton starting point guard Malachi Smith, who battled ankle injuries last season and was limited to 19 games, suffered a knee injury in the opener and is expected to miss the entire season, source told @TheMessenger.
Yikes. Smith had 7 points and 8 assists in 31 minutes against us last year.
"Jack didn’t have any envy in him," Calipari said. "He was the greatest coach to ever coach here."

Bad for the conference but an opportunity for another 1-2 programs to step up. We can't just keep hoping those 2 carry our water year after year.

First big win of the season for the A10 with Davidson over Maryland, who was (is?) thought to be one of the better Big 10 teams. Duquesne by 18 over Charleston helps too. VCU struggled but got by Samford. Dayton trailing Northwestern by 10 at the half will likely be the only A10 loss tonight.
A10 is 20-2 so far this week.

Watched the Samford-VCU game. VCU pulled away right at the end. Shugla seems to be their best shooter. I wasn't particularly impressed with VCU.

good 3-0 night for the A10, as SLU beat Wyoming, Dayton beat LSU and Bona beat OK State. I don't think these opponents will have great seasons but still.

Dayton is well on their way to beating the Fighting Pitinos.
Up 12 with a minute and a half to go
