Service Unavailable / Resource Limit Reached

Been getting service errors or resource limit reached. Using IOS. Don’t know if anyone else is having issues.

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

Additionally, a 503 Service Unavailable error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

the refresh works, but a bit of a pain.

Wonder if it was temporary with a monthly limit, but still having the issue in a new month June.

Hey dudes. Sorry for the quirks. This is impacting both the Message Board and the Wiki pages.

As you've noticed, refreshing once or twice usually gets the page to load / message to post successfully.

I thought there might be something the tech team was trying to address, but this keeps happening, so I've opened a support ticket to get their help.

There may have been some tech attacks or bad scripts hitting the web server, causing it to overload and display those errors.

I activated something that might help defend it, and therefore eliminate those performance errors. We'll see.

Sorry, Mike, I'm still getting 503 errors. On a side note, someone (maybe Steve81?) mentioned Tapatalk the other day.

There is a Tapatalk plugin for phpBB. Would moving some of the mobile traffic to Tapatalk free up some resources? Maybe not the most straightforward solution, but it would be a nice added feature for the forum.

I've temporarily enabled another step to see if that might help. Everyone might see a "are you a human" checkbox. I'll turn it off in a couple days.
