Mullins Madness 2022 event

This has been mentioned in other spots, but breaking it out on its own.

"Mullins Madness" will kick off the season for both men's & women's hoop.

I'm guessing there won't be any streaming option. It'd be nice, but it's not a real game, so I'm fine with UM trying to get people in person.

I assume that Chris Tucci and company will post some clips on social media afterwards.

Looking at the seating chart for tickets available for upcoming games the student section seats are unavailable so it will probably be in the same sections. Maybe they will move the baseline seats closer to the court or somehow reconfigure the seats on the riser behind that basket.

West side of the building closed off…DJ set up there

Matty G announced that the new student section will be called the Cage…and he’s looking for students to Rage in the Cage.

UMass drum line led off followed by cheerleaders and the dance team.

Introductions of both teams followed.

TJ beat Sam Breen in the 3-point contest.

There was a game of musical chairs. A men’s player won, but I don’t remember who it was…players were 3 from the men’s team, 3 from the women’s team and 3 ‘regular’ students.

They’re playing knockout now…with scrimmages to follow.

Destiny and Brandon named co-winners of the knockout game.

My guess is 2-3K in attendance.

2-3k is a great turnout IMO. Mostly students I assume? If so, even better.
