Revenue from the A10 is disappointing and does not merit staying

Don’t think they counted the band kids this time. The home side was full it seemed with three sections of band kids on the other side. But, it was much less crowded in the lots, before game.Steve81 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 08, 2022 6:34 pm 11,217

Sucks that they lost, but I saw definite signs of improvement. They competed!

Can't win converting 1 of 14 3rd downs.
We're I coaching, I'd dedicated a full practice ea week to 3rd down conversion drills.

Re: Game 6: Liberty (Pride Day)
I think what we saw is a team that is improving every week on the defensive side of the ball. I do not mind the 42 pts because my over under is 31 on any given day, meaning that as long as the D holds the opponent to 31, we should win 80% of the time. Now, the offense needs a ton of work but Dzuro showed us what it could be like if you actually have a guy who can throw the ball correctly. Need to find a guy in the transfer portal who can throw with the ability to run 2-4 times per game. If DB feels Casulo isnt cutting it, I am sure he will replace him. But, without a good QB, the offense we are running will never work. Let's just stay the course, beat NM St and get one other W, and then hit the transfer portal hard along with adding in some more 3 star freshman. Next year 6 or 7 wins leading into what i feel will be a 6-0 start in 2024 facing Mizzou at home (the game that puts UMass football back on the map and near or at the top of the G5)

Re: Game 6: Liberty (Pride Day)
I agree.. eventhough we were behind the sticks and starting from the 1 most of the first half, the offense just flowed different with Dzuro. It looked more varied and more balanced. He was our best QB last year, and i think he is this year. I think if he didn't get hurt, we still would have lost, but we would have kept the D off the field a little more in the 2nd half. Hopefully he's nor that hurt and can be ba k for NMSU and UConn.. I know UConn is on a little roll but with Dzuro, full backfield, and Sullivan-Brown, we can beat them.

Liberty is ONE point away from being undefeated; the only loss to #15 Wake Forest. They are are #57 and Tulane is #51. Of course when ever we play a team they are having their best season in years. When we schedule them they are 1-11 or 2-10, then 3 years later, they go 10-2. Just our luck. That being said, the next 4 games is where we get one or two wins. Buffalo, NMSU, UConn Arkansas State are all beatable. Don Brown has these kids motivated. garrett Dzuro is our QB. UConn neat FIU who is worse than us.

Will Douro be able to play?

NMSU is after a bye we week as well. It is the game now that ESPN has a predicted win. Whatever metrics ESPN is using has boosted UConn’s resume because that was a tossup to start the season.ZooMass84 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 09, 2022 9:21 am Liberty is ONE point away from being undefeated; the only loss to #15 Wake Forest. Just our luck? No. Those teams have improved, which is what they're supposed to do. Wouldn't it be nice if UMass improved every once in a while and became "bad luck" for someone else's schedule?

^ excellent point. And since FBS has been an absolute disaster, modest improvement might become the new success metric. We are now 21-96 since the upgrade.
Re: Game 6: Liberty (Pride Day)
Nice to see Druzo play effectively at QB went 5/7 for 83 yds. Hopefully he'll be good to go next week against Buffalo. Also really great to see Desrosiers the RS Frosh from Lawrence playing really well. I really like the direction this team is heading in. They are improving week to week. Hopefully we can get some of players off the DL and back on the field.

And trust me that if we end up going 1-11 some folks on this board will say it's an "improved" 1-11.JoleonLescottsHair wrote: ↑Sun Oct 09, 2022 11:48 am ^ excellent point. Hard NO! Games against NMSU/UConn/Army are games that UMass can and could win. Same as last season vs URI and Maine. 1 - 11 will be a failure.photoman wrote: ↑Sun Oct 09, 2022 12:51 pmAnd trust me that if we end up going 1-11 some folks on this board will say it's an "improved" 1-11.JoleonLescottsHair wrote: ↑Sun Oct 09, 2022 11:48 am ^ excellent point.
