If Temple misses the extra point and then UMass runs it back for a touchdown to win the game in the final minutes, then we will definitely having something to talk about for sure!!! :P

Temple just played a Big Ten team real tough and they are only -9.5 point favorites at home against UMass? The 9.5 spread is making me think that Vegas is begging people to take Temple.... Somehow Vegas knows, but this game will be a lot closer than people expect.

I remember watching that game and almost losing my lunch. We scored with 1:20 left in the game to go up by 3 (23-20). If we kick the EP they need a touchdown. They block the EP and run it back for a 2 point conversion so we lead 23-22. They then take the kickoff and hit a field goal with 12 seconds left to beat us 25-23.

Disclaimer - I had to look up a few of the details.

Will never forget that. I was in the endzone photographing for the original "Maroon Musket" blog. I was preparing to get some great victory photos over Temple....and then that happened.

Teams often play down to the level of their competition and even if they don't intend to, it's hard to get up for every game on your schedule. I think that's what happened last week with Rutgers against Temple where they squeaked by despite being a 20 point favorite. So for Temple they have the let down of that game to deal with and their conference slate to look ahead to after us.

UMass meanwhile is coming off a win and now is looking at the possibility of being a .500 team after two blowout losses to start the season. Should be the more motivated team coming in and based on that factor I can see why the line is set where it is.

You should have been there. Despondent does not come close to describe the crowd at the end of that.

My God.. I was there.. when Temple blocked the extra point and ran it back I was like... Temple is winning this game. We went from such elation to dread in like 30 seconds.

of all the losses, that one bothers me. Still can't get over the Hawaii loss with the muffed punt return. 2017 could have been a winning season. Best year we ever had.
