If they are better, then yes.
Re: 2022 Recruiting

Yes. I think all three transfers were brought in to be starters. I also wouldn’t be surprised to see the freshman start either.Jack wrote: ↑Mon May 09, 2022 10:08 amOk. I don't count Atwood as a new guy. Do you see the 3 actual new guys as all starting on the OL ?minutefanjsf wrote: ↑Sun May 08, 2022 6:38 pmYes. He will be the center not Horn. There are four new guys coming in, and Atwood is a “new” guy to the OL.

I have no idea if they are better or worse than anyone currently starting. Neither does anyone on this board. Once camp opens and the competition starts, if any of the incoming guys are better.. they will start. I think outside center the oline is wide open.

Right, I'm wondering why JSF is expecting a complete overhaul. The competition should be great for the team. Hopefully we'll find 5 who can run block.

A friend in the business has gone to a few practices and believes they are still very undermanned on the OL. Also, there were very few brought in and upgrade is needed. The limited amount of new guys, mostly with experience, plus friend’s perspective, plus the fact the starting C was replaced by a DL leads me to the belief that an over hall is coming.

Re: 2022 Recruiting
Thats not surprising since they havent been good in a while. A complete overhaul is very possible
Re: 2022 Recruiting
Part of the reason they weren't good is that we were starting frosh & sophs - now those guys like Max Longman and Helber Fagundes have the experience so it should be great to see the competition and hopefully we see improvement.
Re: 2022 Recruiting
Fagundes is no longer with the team.

The roster is looking a lot better now that some of the transfers have enrolled in school and can be announced. Follow them on https://twitter.com/UMassFootball
Re: 2022 Recruiting
Don said today that we lost NO ONE after the spring session. We have 33 new players and not done. New NCAA rule says that if you lose a guy going forward you can replace him immediately.
"Jack didn’t have any envy in him," Calipari said. "He was the greatest coach to ever coach here."
