A-10 Tourney
I agree. My impression has always been that he is more of a slasher type who should be taking it to the hole. From what little I've seen of him his mechanics are 'off' on his outside shot. Slash and burn Artie, no more three's please!Hyperbole Defender wrote:227 is an awful lot of 3s for him to have taken.
And yes, like the coach or not, let's root for a victory over LaSalle and a nice A-10 run, and keep hoping that the administration will still do what they should when the season ends.
I've heard from people that have seen him play since he transferred here that he's a good one. Hopefully he will be although it's too bad he can't play until the end of December.UMass87 wrote:UMass took almost 100 fewer 3's this season - mostly because of games missed by AA. Maybe this is a reflection of what will happen next year. Maybe not.ktabz16 wrote: ... I dispute the fact that the offense is reliant on the 3 as we are in the bottom half of D. 1 3's attempted. off guards are responsible for more than jacking up 3's. Who knows how the kid from Pitt will pan out, hes got size and knew how to play at some point in his life (High school). You can't be a stiff and get recruited at Pitt. ...
The transfer is a wing player not a guard. I have every reason to believe he will be a good wing player.
Not sure, but interesting to note that even though we're five games over .500 we are being outscored for the season by 33 points. We're also even in the first half and been outscored by 52 points in the second half.Floyd wrote:Of all the wins, what is our average margin of victory? Average margin of defeat? Just curious

Jerry is a Lappas Toad plain and simple.
He comes on last year around this time and supports Lappas - while dissing Wright. He does not post again until a year later as Lappas fate is about to be determined.
He has no interest in this program and is only a Lappas Toad. The fact that he looks foolish with his failed assesment of his own program and coach (Wright) gives him little credibility.

Undaunted by the task at hand, the clock ticking, and no precious time-outs left, SM took it to the hoop over and over, just completing eight A-10 signs in just over two hours ...
When asked how he felt upon completion of the ordeal, SM said he felt like Cousy, Russell, Havlicek, Bird, and McHale rolled into one...
When further asked if this were not a bit much to think of oneself...
he began to faint, pointing to his arm, asking for an IV...
he was told that one IV is enough
