He's the best. I can see why so many people like him. It was good to hear because honestly all i knew about him before he got fired from SC is that he yells at players.

He's much more than a basketball coach. This guy is all about the lessons in life and how you can achieve success being passionate and forthright! We're in for a nice ride I believe!

Welcome to UMass Coach Martin and hope you have found your new home. Also welcome back home to your lovely wife - she has to be excited to come back home.
I listened to your interview with Dan and felt that it was just two coaches talking basketball and brought back memories of Coach Leaman. He would have fit right in with you 2 guys. Someone said “you are what UMass basketball needed.” I agree and to give you a little UMass basketball history there were coaches like Matt Zunic, Johnny Orr and Jack Leaman who were similar to you and were basketball lifers. They would stand in the halls of Boyden and just hold court and talk basketball all day long. Jack Leaman was famous for taking John Calipari for a cup of coffee at the Stables or Whitmore and just talking basketball.
As a former player it’s nice to know we have a guy who is a basketball lifer. I think Coach Leaman and you would have gone for a lot of cups of coffee. Good luck and Go UMass!

"Jack didn’t have any envy in him," Calipari said. "He was the greatest coach to ever coach here."

Once he’s settled, I hope you guys get together so you can share your broad perspective with him as well.
