I think that he has grown a bit in the job, but "earning while learning" should not have been the HC model.

Ditto. I don't have a feel for how good or bad this team will be, but our back court looks really really good. Noah is a top PG in the A10, Javohn is super talented, and I think will take a big step forward. Then you have TJ, the Kelly's, Cairo, my goodness, I love this back court. With that said, this is probably McCall's last chance to show what he's got.

McCall’s last chance to show some improvement and prove he can be the guy in Amherst. A good coach could be contending for top 6 with this roster. He’s got a great stable of A10 guards/wings and that’s all you really need in college to have a good (not great) team.

Your right that guards and wings dominate CBB especially in the A10. If we can defend and rebound as a team we will be fine.

A bit over the top, it seems... No concessions and no kids? Yikes.

The Ivy doesn't fuck around. The smart guys are going to be the last to relax their posture about COVID safety.

Coincidentally, it helps that they don't need to generate revenue like most others in college athletics.

I have a feeling the kids thing will change once kids are eligible for vaccines and can show proof of it.

I concur.

I get the sense that the kid thing has more to do with the impending approval of vaccines for that age group... they are essentially anticipating that and then can easily go from "no kids" to "vaccinated kids allowed." Hard to go from "kids allowed" to "only vaccinated kids allowed."

If this was, say, 6 months ago, I doubt they would be saying no to kids.

They should set up their own vaccine ID with bar code so the ticket takers don't have to be examining all different kinds of vaccine ID. Fans could just go to the box office to get it, show their vaccine ID and personal ID one time. Then they just need to show that and get right in to the games.

Will this team win 20 games in the regular season? The talent seems to be there. Can McCall coach well enough to reach that level? Don't know what Bamford's bar is, but that is mine. Roughly 9-4 OOC, 11-7 A10. Seems doable if the guy can coach.

Secret scrimmages:

10/23 Holy Cross
10/30 BU

Both are in Amherst. Wonder if you can sneak into one?

^ I mean me, but so far the game times have been kept "secret". I'm anxious to see what the new guys look like and to see what Preston, Dibaji and DD look like. I think I have a pretty good handle on what the other guys will bring, but there are still a lot of questions.
