KAEO: Tre Mitchell
Re: KAEO: Tre Mitchell
There are certainly some people on this board who are pumping Bamford's story, wittingly or not. Instead of taking dictation why don't they just ask him when he's going to Dartmouth?

Re: KAEO: Tre Mitchell
I dont think Tony trying to use Tre is a "Bamford Story"... That being said the guy hasn't done much at Umass other than having a great Hockey coach basically fall in his lap and firing a bunch of long time dedicated employees.. A D3 school seems about the right level for him. I think one of the reasons Bamford fired Tony is to limit his contract with the players..

Anyone know how long the transfer portal time lasts? Can you go in up to the start of next season or is there a cutoff date? Seems like there must be a date to get rosters in order

Bamford is 100% a careerist and wants to be in the Ivy League or D2. It explains pretty much everything he’s done here. He refuses to get rid of a coach who needs to go because “it’s a pandemic we can’t just dump him” despite 50 other MBB coaches getting fired. He shuts down football despite having no timeframe to have to make a decision for “the best interest of our kids” despite every player voicing that they wanted to play. He suspended Whipple for a game for using a word 1 time when most any other coach would have gotten fined because “we don’t tolerate that here” “and yes our teams suck but look we all made the Dean’s list!”NilesGold wrote: Sun Mar 21, 2021 7:18 am I might be melding different absurd conspiracy theories together here, but I love how the assertion is that Bamford is a conservative careerist who wants to play everything by the book and run a clean program... and yet he's running a shadow operation where he masterfully pulls strings (with the help of Paul Cormier no less) to have DK & TB unfairly painted as villains.
Bamford only cares about his image and how “aware” he is and promoting the things an Ivy would care about. Also it was 2 sentences in the article that’s hardly running a shadow operation and masterfully pulling strings

Please enlighten us as to why we should believe this conspiracy theory that you and Curry Hicks Sage are spreading around?SJGMoney wrote: Sun Mar 21, 2021 7:49 am There are certainly some people on this board who are pumping Bamford's story, wittingly or not. I don’t mind spreading this rumor. Either it’s true and it explains Bamford’s thought process or it’s not and it might drive him to grow a set and make an out of the box change.
He does seem like an Ivy League guy

Re: KAEO: Tre Mitchell
Like I said before this shit is exhausting. On my list of things I wanna do today, digging into a story from an Athol newspaper and dissecting Ryan Bamford’s career goals are pretty fucking low. But hey to each their own.
I’d rather just sum it by saying the great Bergeron experiment ended with a thud and there’s probably blame at all levels. Not talking about the players here but everyone else. It’s a shitshow and I’m tired of thinking “boy I hope they look in the mirror.”
I don’t think McCall is the answer.
I don’t think TB is the answer.
I don’t think Bamford has the answer.
I don’t think the school is in a financial spot to evaluate everything which is what really needs to be done.
Other than that, I do think things are great.

Re: KAEO: Tre Mitchell
If the assistant coach who happens to have coached a half dozen of the team's players in high school bolts with the best player and the others don't immediately follow him like the Pied Piper, it suggests, at least to me, he doesn't engender the loyalty in his players that many seem to believe he has.
Time will tell who leaves with him, but the longer this goes one, the worse Tony looks in my eyes.
As Tre's advisor, it seems like he used his greatest leverage on some power move and when I didn't work, took his toys and left.

Can also confirm I heard Kellogg had a couple players on payroll before this article came out
Re: KAEO: Tre Mitchell
Congrats, you heard the same rumor everyone else did. All third hand talk that spreads until everyone thinks they heard the truth. It's garbage.iwearglovesndhat wrote: Sun Mar 21, 2021 9:25 am Can also confirm I heard Kellogg had a couple players on payroll before this article came out

DK is long gone, the current state of the program is on MM and RB. Both should be on the hot seat with decisions on their continued employment being made this time next year.
Re: KAEO: Tre Mitchell
In all fairness tho, would anyone actually come out and say, "yeah thats true"? Doubt it
I could care less if they did or didn't. I liked a couple of that group but not so sure that team would have ever meshed that well

Wait, I thought you had to ask for a private message to get that rumor.SJGMoney wrote: Sun Mar 21, 2021 9:43 amCongrats, you heard the same rumor everyone else did. Re: KAEO: Tre Mitchell
I think the Kellogg issue is BS. Don't you think that the NCAA would be investigating this shit by now, and if this was said to Kelsey that he would have reported this to the NCAA. I "HEARD" that Calipari is returning to UMASS to straighten out the BK program.
