2020-2021 Season
Re: 2020-2021 Season
^ Also strange that in an 11 team league, only 3 have a winning record, and should we win tonight, there will only be two.

"Anyone, anytime, anywhere". I think I may have heard that somewhere. Being serious, well done by Hockey East and UMass for being flexible and getting this done.econalum wrote: Sat Jan 02, 2021 12:38 pm We are battling each night. What is very strange is how uneven the schedule has been so far with UMass playing most of its schedule, down to BU playing none.

Awesome job winning 3 games in 4 days. Looked like this team didn't have much left in the tank in the 3rd period, but found a way to hang on.
Give WBB more money.
Re: 2020-2021 Season
I don't think I would pull my goalie against this UMass team if only down 1 goal. We have too many good skaters and stickhandlers. Nice 3 game sweep this week. And yes, we did look tired in the 3rd period. 3 games in 4 days will do that to you at the pace and physicality with which we play.

I agree.
It turns also turns out NU is not that good right now. They had set this series as a benchmark.
Murray has had a lot asked of him in such an intense time frame. Time for a break?
That said, terrific start for UMass. Let's hope for COVID to be under check. Never have teams been so co-dependent on all acting well, including coaches and staff, then these winter sports teams.

Just plain great coaching on so many levels. To keep winning and having been able to play 12 games.

Next games are Thursday/Saturday against UConn. Give the guys a couple of days off.

I wouldn't draw any conclusions about Northeastern from this weekend, especially since their projected number 1 goalie is currently dominating at the World Juniors for Canada. I think they have a forward out playing for the US too. Will be a tougher challenge if these two teams play again this season.econalum wrote: Sat Jan 02, 2021 9:00 pm I agree.

UMass Football: 22-3 at home when I was a student.
Leave the A-10!

Matt Murray's stretch save makes ESPN's Top Ten this morning.

I was watching on the tube at home, and I thought the NU player had scored. Half the net was wide open. How could he miss? I guess he should have lifted it. Great save!

Does anybody know what the injury to Lindberg is? I know Carvel wants to ride the hot goalie but Matt will need a rest at some point.
