2020 Season
Re: 2020 Season
The opening line for game 1 had us as a 30 point underdog. It has since moved to 28.5. Wow!
Re: 2020 Season
Who do most people want to be the QB for this year? Are there any news on who the leading candidates are?
I have a feeling if it's Brito, Bell won't say it until whenever he has to report.

Updated roster on the UMass site. The lineman definitely put on weight since last season. Probably the youngest UMass team that I've ever seen and add to this coaching staff--yikes! Of course I'll still be watching.

Re: 2020 Season
The offensive line averages: 6'5 320 and the defensive line: 6'2 308. This is the biggest the lines have been on both sides of the ball in all the years I've been following the team. Must have been doing a lot of eating and lifting in the bubble--I know I have done the eating part myself!
Re: 2020 Season
I don't want to bash anyone but yeah hopefully someone (else) steps up and then someone else is their backup.

True! That's what I tell myself...
Re: 2020 Season
So, we await the rest of the schedule. At best, 2 FCS and 1 FBS teams for a total of 4 games. My best guess.
Given our deserved low ranking, only a semi-desperate FBS team will join with us, except if borderline for a bowl, and not even sure how many bowls are happening with the pandemic.
As to FCS, don't we need to pay them to play? And that just increases the deficit.
If Georgia Southern is emblematic of what our capabilities are for 2020 - just shut it down. And let us not wander around D1 for games, FBS or FCS.
What a mess.

Walfish (and I believe others) have already stated that we have games lined up with Army and FAU, just not announced yet.
