NCAA Tournament 2019
Re: NCAA Tournament 2019
To say last night was special is an understatement. I was at the game with my wife who is a retired hockey goalie. It was her first UMass hockey game (and many more to come). Last night is what UMass can be across all the major sports. That was a home game with 600 other people rooting for that other team. It was clear whose house that was. This is what UMass CAN BE!!! It is not over, two more for hockey lore! GO UMASS!!!!

Providence gets in win their own 4-0 win. Hockey east dominating the East and Northeast. Quinnipiac currently has the chance to get another New England team to Buffalo.
Re: NCAA Tournament 2019
They just announced the game times for the Frozen Four on ESPNU. Providence/Duluth will be the first game at 5:00 followed by Denver/UMass at 8:30.
Give WBB more money.

The late game shouldn't matter as there is a day off between games.

Agreed - and it's probably better for the school to have the visibility in the late game. Hopefully Game 1 doesn't go to OT.69MG wrote: Sun Mar 31, 2019 9:48 pm The late game shouldn't matter as there is a day off between games.

The 'Anchor Bar' in Buffalo is the progenitor of Buffalo Wings, so they say. Enjoy.
Have you been to Duffs? Much much better than the Anchor Bar wings.

Looks like tickets are going to be crazy expensive. Worst seats look like they're $300 for the 3 games or $150ish per day and that's without fees. My plan is to go up from NYC early Thursday morning (6 hour drive). Does anyone think this will sell out? Also, any news of which sections UMass fans should sit in?

$110 (with fees) to get in the door Thursday via stubhub right now. Prices will drop, it's Buffalo.
Not sure on the section. I don't think either days will sell out.

Re: NCAA Tournament 2019
Welcome to the frozen four pricing I warned about last week. This year is the most expensive of the 16 we've been to, which is also why it didn't sell out back in October like it used to. Bad pricing but more tickets available for UMass fans than a 'normal' year.Sharksrule04 wrote: Mon Apr 01, 2019 10:32 am Looks like tickets are going to be crazy expensive. I thought there were some cheaper tickets up in the 300 level, but those probably sold out already.
Edit: Just checked there are still some all session tickets up 300 level corner for $225. Single day available on the arena's page for $120. Also check out the NCAA's resale portal and USCHO some fans will resell under face.

Will be there with my son. Staying in a hotel in Cheektawonga. Always wanted to say I stayed in Cheektawonga.
Tickets purchased this morning through pond club. $300 for three games. Pretty steep, but for possibly a once in a lifetime event it’s worth it for me.

I think there is a casino close by. If so just go there and be lucky and win the cost of the tickets.

^^ & ^ Of course there is. And here I thought that my chauffeur, Dr. G, would want to spend Friday visiting the Buffalo History Museum.
Pray for me. I'll be very broke by Friday night.
