vs. Maine
Re: vs. Maine
That's your final. Excellent win against a team that was trying to stay in the hunt for home ice in the HE playoffs.

No letdown there. Great job!
All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.
Re: vs. Maine
I love that they're keeping the pedal to the metal even after clinching the regular season. We have to get a #1 seed in the NCAA.
Re: vs. Maine
Call me petty but I was even more happy to see UML tie UNH and thus probably eliminate (barring a nice HE tournament run) themselves from the tournament. I really don't want UMass to play UML again this season.
Re: vs. Maine
Total domination tonight. I was glad to see Lindberg get the shutout. He only had 16 saves but Maine did have 3 or 4 legit scoring chances. Other than that, we were just faster and more determined. I was kind of expecting a bit of a letdown after clinching last game but no such thing. Looking forward to the playoffs.

Okay. You're petty (not). I'm of the same mind about UML. Not sure why they match up wow well with our guys - but it's hard to argue results.UMass87 wrote: Sun Mar 03, 2019 12:51 am Call me petty but I was even more happy to see UML tie UNH and thus probably eliminate (barring a nice HE tournament run) themselves from the tournament. I know Lowell has been an achillies heel but I'd really like to see a matchup at the Garden where UMass gets revenge and ends their season. They're not the same team since they beat us on 2/9, just 1-3-2 since then. They'll probably have trouble with whichever team they face in the HE Quarters (likely BU).philosopher wrote: Sun Mar 03, 2019 6:42 amOkay. You're petty (not). I'm of the same mind about UML. Re: vs. Maine
Best thing about this game was that a lot of the scoring came from non-traditional sources. This year's team has been a little bit top-heavy when it comes to scoring, relying on Leonard/Pritchard/Chaffee for most of the goals (at least as far as forwards go - obviously Makar and MDG have been huge parts of the offense as well). Seeing Chau get 2 goals, Hildenbrand with 2 assists, and Gaudet and ADG both with a goal last night was extremely encouraging. This would be the perfect time of year, coming into tournament time, for this team to find some consistent secondary scoring. Would make us that much more of a threat to do some serious damage in April.
