I believe Henson started the year at QB before Brady took over shortly thereafter and never gave it back (sound familiar?)Mark W wrote: Wed Aug 29, 2018 12:43 pm Didn't Michigan sort of do it too Brady's senior year between Brady and Drew Henson? Maybe I'm remembering that wrong.

Yeah, I guess so. I know Brady was named the starter his junior year and then I remember Henson starting Brady's senior year. I thought they went back and forth some that year but at my age I shouldn't trust my memory. On Mondays I have to use my GPS to get to work!!MJatUM wrote: Wed Aug 29, 2018 1:03 pmI believe Henson started the year at QB before Brady took over shortly thereafter and never gave it back (sound familiar?)Mark W wrote: Wed Aug 29, 2018 12:43 pm Didn't Michigan sort of do it too Brady's senior year between Brady and Drew Henson? UMass...the best is yet to come

There's McKinney again with his damn factsMcKinney wrote: Wed Aug 29, 2018 12:51 pmNo I don't think so. Brady made up 76%+ of passing attempts (79% of yards) and RB Thomas was the rushing go-to making up 66% of rushing attempts (more than 8 times the number of attempts of the next rushing leader). Drew Henson did however receive on one play for 23 yards, which is pretty interesting.Mark W wrote: Wed Aug 29, 2018 12:43 pm Didn't Michigan sort of do it too Brady's senior year between Brady and Drew Henson? Time to Win
Re: 2018 - Game #1 The Dukes
UMass successfully used a dual QB system last week w/both QBs playing very well. But since as idiotic fans we must always have something to incessantly bitch about let's all act like the worst tragedy in the 100+ yr history of UMass football for Comis and Ford to have shared the QB duties in a 63-15 win over Duquesne on August 25th......
Numerous college football teams have had success using dual QB systems. Steve Spurrier and Urban Meyer obviously have been successful w/it and of course Florida rolled to the National Championship w/a dual QBs Leak/Tebow. But since that was waaaay back in the olde horse & buggy days of 2006 it would be impossible for UMASS to ever successfully deploy a dual QB system in order to win football games in 2018.of course UMASS just did exactly that...but we need to disregard that fact...... LOL

Yes "sort of" is exactly right Mark. Lloyd Carr (not my favorite coach) sort of experimented w/dual QBs w/Henson and Brady in early '99. It wasn't really a dual QB system, I think in that case it was more that Carr couldn't make up his dang mind until back to back mid season losses to MSU and Illinois - then it finally dawned on Carr that Brady was by far the better QB and TB had the con the rest of the way through the Orange Bowl victory over Bama.Mark W wrote: Wed Aug 29, 2018 12:43 pm Didn't Michigan sort of do it too Brady's senior year between Brady and Drew Henson? Am I the only one who, when Comis fumbled the ball away on his long run in the second quarter, had flashbacks to when he did the same thing the last time UMass played BC in 2016?
IIRC, UMass still was ahead 7-6 at the time late in the first half and it ended up being a big turning point.

Stop waiting for UMass to do something big and help UMass do something big. - Shades

I knew that Comis rumble was familiar, just didn't recall where or when.

^ Bad? They are P5 material, winning three in a row since us and scoring 99 points in the three. Not kidding.
SteveMaz is transferring there.
