Maybe there's a very reasonable explanation for everything that's transpired with Baldwin's injury, but one has not been given to us, we're left only to speculate.
Maybe? Why not just give all involved the benefit of the doubt instead of speculating. Whether you mean to or not, your choice of words makes it sound like you're assuming a conspiracy to withhold information.
I give up. Go ahead, ignore what I'm saying and instead over-analyze and interpret my every word however you want.

Niles - You speak in conspiracy theories and that is off-putting to some and maybe many?

Your desire to know the truth - whether you are entitled to it or not - is leading you to speculate in a way that makes it sound like information is being withheld from you by some super secret society that doesn't want you to know.....

The irony of your response to LS is that you are over-analyzing the comments of MM and others yourself to try to figure all this out.... Clearly you are not seeing that?

Idk what’s going on in here right now. Baldwin dogs it a lot and has been benched for it before. Right after a poor game on his part, he is hurt and hasn’t played again. I’m sure he’s actually hurt but I also feel his time here could be up. Engaged and energetic baldwin is fun to watch and he’s very good when that happens.

UMass always withholds details of everything. It’s annoying but not surprising. Overall it is what it is. I don’t expect him back but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t be totally fine if he did come back.

Why do ppl get butthurt over speculation? It’s a message board, who cares. I come on here to see speculation.

I'm not over-analyzing and I'm not speculating, there is very little in the way of definitive information on Baldwin's injury, that is a fact... first we heard it was a knee, then a quad, then a lower-leg injury, each time no specific diagnosis was given, no info on when, or how it occurred... and perhaps the weirdest part were McCall's comments about it. I don't know what the injury is and I'm not going to make any guesses... I'm simply saying it's weird.

The Brantley situation was weird too, and guess what, he had a heart condition that no one saw coming. First word of Brantley's "undisclosed injury" I can find is from 9/29, then about 10 days later his heart condition was announced, less time elapsed than has with Baldwin... I'm not really sure why the specifics of Baldwin's injury are being withheld and I have no desire to speculate on it, I'm also not asking for it, I don't really desire it and I'm damn sure NOT entitled to it.

I can't wait until all of DK's players are gone so we can stop having to listen to people figure out ways to run them out of town. Holy hell it's exhausting.

Niles is far from the only one who was a little confused by McCall's comments when Baldwin was first missing time with this injury. It absolutely sounded like McCall wasn't sure how serious the injury was. It happened, it's a message board not the freaking AP.

Cripes people.

^ My take is that it was a tricky injury to diagnose, hence MM's apparent confusion. Once the diagnosis was confirmed and the course of action picked, the info came out via Matty V.

Gosh LS.... a logical explanation like this is boring and takes up like ZERO bandwidth (and it is probably correct too). You are wrecking it for everyone - you suck !

Lets go with - I think MM just wants CB out of his system, he is clearly questioning his heart and character based on his openly questioning this injury and not disclosing it to the fans who demand answers - you gotta read between the lines in all MM's quotes - there are hidden clues man! It's either that or CB is faking it so he doesn't get hurt before he transfers to another program -

It has to be one or the other - doesn't it       ?

I have yet to voice my opinion on this injury quagmire. I think Baldwin's body was taken over by aliens who nothing about basketball. Therefore they figured that they better fake an injury so as not to expose their lack of knowledge on the court. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

The team doesn't owe anyone any explanation about anything, so just because the public doesn't know or understand what's going on doesn't mean it was handled incorrectly.
