So are these the same people who say that the AD is responsible for some rumored screw up with DK's contract, and it's perfectly all right for DK to take advantage of that?
Technically - the AD screwed us over by giving him the extension and extra $4.0M (or so) ....... in his pocket - and diminishing returns on the court. This buyout stuff is nothing new actually - most places have this CYA in contracts now.....

Didn't he get the contract extension just after the NCAA Tournament? Or was it after the following year?
I don't believe there were diminishing results at the time of the extension.

Interesting:
New England Playaz @NE_Playaz 23 hours ago
Chris Herren Jr. (@CHJ_24) has picked up an offer from LIU Brooklyn after a 4-0 weekend in Dallas.

It looks like he is repeating his soph year with a move to Tabor.
(Sr. is on my list for top five games anyone has played against us at Mullins. Torched us is a better description.)

That performance by Herren against us is even more amazing (sad?) after you hear him describe the sleepless night he had before due to his horrific addiction issues at the time. Glad he's gotten his life together and is now all about helping others with substance problems.

I was there for that game. Was just thinking about it a little while back as Herren was on a favorite podcast of mine (Church of What's Happening Now with Joey Diaz). You'll always get a unique perspective from Joey.

Like ex-player threads it is a place to post updates. If you are not interested you have the option of not clicking. I'm not interested in Umass lacrosse so I don't visit that section to complain about people posting about Umass lacrosse.

Well, screw you!
Seriously, DK is not only our former player, but a member of Cal's coaching tree. I will pay attention to what he is doing just as I still do with Bruiser and Tony and others.

Did anybody ever read or post this? Just saw it now. Provocative article. The lede is: "The State’s highest paid employee the past four years managed to hang onto his million-dollar-a-year job even after receiving back-to-back unsatisfactory performance reviews."
The magazine states that apparently, Kellogg's contract would have been extended beyond 2019 if he had received a satisfactory performance review at the end of the 2014-15 season and another year if he got a similar review after the 2015-16 season. When he was fired, the school only agreed to pay him out through 2019. Interesting read. I assume he did not get satisfactory performance reviews last year because the team finished below .500, but they were 17-15 the year before (albeit losers of seven of the last eight).
