Well, that's too bad because UMass was loyal to a fault with DK.

Crazy.. how about @MarcusCamby23 for head coach and me and @edgarpadilla34 coach the guards... @Marc_Bertrand
Any day of the week will I take Camby for HC and Travieso and Padilla for assistants. Don't care about the experience with Kellogg. Camby being here would lock up so many star recruits. LOL
Looking forward to winning seasons again!

And by Thanksgiving you'd have a blog post saying they need to fire Camby.

Yeah, that's how I read it too. Unfortunately, the basketball team's biggest booster agreed with the sentiment expressed by Gresham.

John Kennedy had come around and supported the hiring of Kelsey. As he should, he now despises Kelsey.

Someone on the A10 board posted that Kelsey, who has a history of battling depression, experienced an episode brought on by the stress/pressure of taking the job. If that's the case, then I can understand him backing out and going back to a place where he is comfortable.

^Well that might explain the last minute wait before calling Bamford. Depression associated anxiety can make you almost catatonic. Been there, it ain't no fun.

As someone who has experienced extreme anxiety related episodes (one of which was at UMass's first ever FBS home game at Gillette!), I can say that they can absolutely cripple you. No experience with depression, but even anxiety alone can do a number on you. If that is actually the case, I have sympathy for the guy.

There's also a twitter handle that has been trashing Kelsey right when his name was announced saying what a snake he was and openly hates the guy. As always, 2 sides to every story.

If PK has that extreme anxiety situation that's his business and hopefully in the future he won't do a disservice to an entire University and put himself up for a stressful mid-major job. We will see how much stress he has if the Xavier job opens up. Know thyself, and don't mess with a bunch of players and a program in the future.
