As always the win will be defined by our ability to make free throws. Im hoping DK has these guys focused on the inside game to start. Chucking 3s out of the gate will be a disaster. Hollaway had a monster game last year at Bonas. They have no answer for him. just hoping we can hit those baskets around the hoop. This will open up better looks at 3. I never see these guys go inside out for those looks.
to me thats coaching!! Hoping we can lock down those guards a little. i think one of them is going to go for over 30 today
#1 When did this team turn the ball over 20 times?
#2 They're gonna zone us and pack the paint. Of course we're gonna have to shoot a lot of 3's. We'll get good looks and I think we'll make enough to win.

was trying to state we cannot have that many. we average 15 and even thats too many. . in our losses to ole miss/ providence had 18 an 19. this game is gonna be a track meet and we need to value the ball. thats the point

If we do end up with the good crowd as we are expecting we need to play exciting basketball and WIN.. this is a chance to get some casuals interested in the team and hop on the bandwagon.. I feel like we usually lose these type of games and people stop coming.. we win in a fun fashion and it should really help attendance the rest of the year

^^ We are 1.5 point favorites on most sites. 1 on some and 2 on a couple.

Looks like it dropped from -1.5 to -1, either way, based on our history vs the Bonnie's, it's not a game I would touch.

If you're heading to Amherst anytime soon be careful driving, massive whiteout conditions right now. A nasty snow squall is moving through and visibility is no more than 10 feet when driving. According to weather.com it shoudl pass through by 2pm. I just drove back home for Home depot in Hadley and it was some tough driving conditions.
I'm just tryin' to get by bein' quiet and shy In a world full of pushin' and shove...

Must be offshore odds that you are looking at. Everywhere in Vegas is still -1.5 or -2. Agreed with not touching it.
Huge game today at home going into the DC swing.

Think we have some good momentum going into today. Admittedly, the 3 point shot is something of a concern. Still feeling like Pipkins is jacking up too many 3s and he is a very streaky shooter. He's shooting under 30% at this point. Only Clark and Flowers are above 30% (both at 34%). In the last 10 years, we've only had a few guys good for 40% or more from 3 (Chaz, Trey Davis, Matt Glass, and Etienne Brower). Hoping that we see a 3 point game develop with our guard heavy lineups - I believe this will be the difference between wins and losses for us - especially when we face a zone defense and need to shoot over it.
I think we win a close one today which gets decided in the last 2 minutes. Umass 77, Bonventure 73.
