Have they announced all are eligible? Have they announced red shirts?

If teams need to double team him, who will best compliment him and make them pay? Who will step up for the remaining time at center? I am actually excited to see these guys play, and I hope DK gains the confidence in the guys to run some plays that exploit the weakness in a teams defense.
Very good points. I think RH will still foul a lot, but he does look in better shape and I bet both he and Malik will be way ahead of what we saw last year. They showed glimpses of what might be seen in the future.

From what I am reading Baldwin looks really good and I hope Gresham can have a decent year too.

But we do like to play small ball and I won't be surprised at all if we do stretches of run and gun without a real big in there. Get the other team gassed and put RH back in there.

We're only 10 days away, so I'd like to bump this thread with a slight twist. I'm not sure who starts day 1 and I'm not sure DK knows yet either. I also think we'll have different starting lineups game to game. What's more telling is how many minutes each guy averages over the course of the season.

We assume that DK doesn't like to play freshmen a lot, but this group has talent. In 2009-2010, 4 freshmen played a lot so it's not unheard of (Vinson 25 minutes, Riley 19, Farrell 17, Sampson Carter 15). Assuming Gresham is not eligible, how do you think DK will distribute the minutes this year? It has to add to 200. My thoughts are:

Clark - 30
Holloway - 25
Jarreau - 25
Pipkins - 20
Lewis - 20
Baldwin -20
Coleman - 15
Berger - 15
Hines - 10
Anderson -10
Flowers 5
McLean -5

IIRC, Vinson and Samp Carter both started first game of their freshmen years. But I don't think any freshmen will be doing that this year. I think Flowers will red-shirt.

Clark - 33
Jarreau - 22
Holloway - 21
Berger - 20
Coleman - 20
Anderson - 18
Lewis - 17
Pipkins - 17
Baldwin - 12
Hines - 11
McLean - 5
Flowers - 4
I would give Holloway more except for concern about fouls.

GAHHHH! Minutes is impossible. With no idea what DK is planning so far as fast pace, who will be on the active roster, who has taken the biggest strides, it all makes my head hurt. I guess it's best if I just wait 10 days.

only chance someone redshirts besides gresham is due to injury. Do not understand everyone on here's obsession with redshirting freshman. That is extremely rare to see if a player isn't injured, academic reasons, etc.

If a redshirt happens, it would probably happen the way he did it with Putney. Put practiced and traveled with the team, but didn't get into any games. They then declared the redshirt and it gave him the next 4 years. With the injury history of Coleman, Berger and Hines, he may just not use Flowers and/or McLean and see how the injury situation plays out. That would give DK 10 players, which is enough if everyone stays healthy.
