Hopefully this works out. We could use a good local sports talk show. The stuff they've had on 640 during the drive home over the last couple of years has been pretty bad.

Interesting that 640 also dumped Imus in the morning for ESPN radio. Which makes sense since it's supposed to be sports radio, but a little surprising because I thought Imus got good ratings.

Agreed, the area does need something local. I hate that national LA crap that Fox puts out. I'm actually looking forward to heading out to my car in a few mins and hearing Bob's show. Previously the only UMass mentions on the air would be when Donnie Moorehouse would talk about the hockey team on his music show.

I didn't realize they dumped Imus. Was that recent? I never turned my radio to the station in the morning because I thought he'd be on. I'll have to check it out now.

I think today was the first day without Imus. They probably decided to do an overhaul for the new year

This is good news. "The Drive", really sucked. Hopefully they will have some UMass wins to discuss.

660 am for you Imus fans with a decent radio...
All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

I don't think Imus fans have a decent anything.

Well Imus is better than the jack-booted thugs on WEEI in the morning.

Dennis and Callahan are awesome on WEEI in the morning. Callahan is a Umass grad which gives him stroke with local Alumni. They bury Imus in the ratings and they helped bury the Kerry in the election. Everything about their show is good. Good Luck to Bob Behler and I hope it leads to great things in his career. If Greg Dickerson can get a TV show by golly ANYONE can.

Yeah and being a UMass grad only leads Callahan into pissing and moaning about his disdain for the place each time anything related comes up...

Dennis and Callahan couldn't suck harder if you hooked up a hardsucking machine to their touchholes in order to boost their suck capacity. They're already at maximum suck and it's an embarassment to Boston that they're on the air and get good ratings.

An ape and a chipanzee could host that show and get good ratings(oh, they already do!). WEEI is the flagship station for the Red Sox, as well as the only sports station which gets a signal outside of 128. They have built-in ratings.
